bump looks smaller :-/

Ok call me crazy but my 36 week bump looks smaller than it did a few days ago :-/ baby is moving around ok, so im not overly worried, just quite freaked out, as this didn't happen with dd.

Iv been having really bad back pain, started yesterday, its not so bad when im still, but if I need fo change position or walk its very painful, I walk on a slant :-/
Also a lot of pelvic grinding and crunching.

Iv tried paracetamol but it made no difference

Like I say this didn't happen in my last pregnancy, so im unsure if this is normal? I don't want to bother my midwife if everything sounds normal.

I would try not to worry Hun. Like the other girls said, she could have dropped/engaged. I got this in my first pregnancy when DS changed position (from breech to head down, then from back-to-back to normal).... I get it now when Bert moves. He's not engaged but flips from head down to transverse and back again which changes my size and shape quite drastically.

Still, if it is worrying you hun it's better to call the midwife for peace of mind xx

Mine too lol im too early for baby to have engaged but im not sure why it looks smaller!! Very strange!

Same here!! My bump appears smaller and i know it has dropped xxx

My bump looked really small this morning, but has puffed out again now.
Maybe a position change is the cause?

Baby has probably dropped, engaged or simply changed positions. I take weekly bump shots and noticed that last weeks was totally bigger than this weeks but have been measuring right on schedule since they started measuring. Not a cause for concern in and of itself hun. No worries

Thanks for the replies everyone. I have a midwife appointment tomorrow, so il double check with her. Got my last growth scan next week too :-D
