Hello All, hope were all well, sorry not been here for a while, any news i need to know about, well 2 weeks today im back in work, full time as they refused my offer, well p off, but what can i do, got the union involved but work won, they always do, well were going to try for another baby soon, so hopefully i wont be in work to long, is there anyone else in our Bumpkins who pregnant, i know someone was but cant remember, not been on for a while, is anyone else trying or going to try soon, hope all is well and take care xxxxxxxxxx

Morning all

Sam im pregnant again.

Colsy thank you yes still at my parents im tempted to stay until i've had the baby. Seriously over crowded here so looks like mum is house hunting.

Weekend was ok, Noah is very good at getting me smiling, not done anything in particular but trying to stay busy if that makes sense.

Colsy does Monty have toys in his cot? Noah sleeps with 2 teddies and has a mobile thats noise activated and he loves that as it as a light show, spins and plays music. He'll lie watching it in the early hours when he's been upset. When noah was unsettled at night I tried hand holding, reposition in cot, tried in his travel cot, tried in a different room, varied what he wore and is blankets/sleep bag. I systematically tried everything but the frustrating thing was he has good and bad nights and I dont know when they are coming. :hugs:

I guess I should start getting out here and meeting people, although who knows where' i'll move to long term.

Afternoon all,

Hope everyone is okay and enjoyed their weekends :hugs:

Had a productive morning as such, went to docs and got another week of work, just got you build up the courage to call them. Technically I go back on Wed but this note covers this week so I now go back next Mon. I am off the tablets now so thats good, hence a week to settle and make sure I don't overload and undo everything! Plus got some new medication for my fissure! (Sorry if TMI lol) - I know I mentioned it on here before, had that pesky thing since Chloe was 3 weeks old so yeah, sick of it to say the least but hope the new stuff helps. Trust me to develop a chronic version, really don't fancy a bum op!

Colsy: do you change his nappy at this time? Just wondering as for some reason Chloe has suddenly become more sensitive to them. She was never ever bothered before I just had to change them when I thought was best as she never told me iykwim and it's not always a cert but lately she has been a bit grump after going to bed and sometimes I change her bum, settle again and it seems to work. It not something I naturally think to do with her as like I say she normally isn't bothered but it may be worth a try? Maybe you do anyway. Defo talk to the doctors, don't leave it. I used to think I was pestering them but that is what they are there for and if things aren't right keep going back, plus could your HV can back things up if needs be? Hope you find a solution soon :flower:

Hope you get to enjoy the walk, it's raining here :nope:

On the Nij front, yeah he has been back home now for just over 2 weeks. I'd didn't really say much as didn't want to count my chickens so to speak, was just seeing how things went. He said he was back for good but I was still being cautious in my mind. I think it's finally settled in my head!

Sam: Sorry to hear that work won, good luck TTC :flower:

Maffie: Glad Noah is making you smile :)

Hope the rest of our busy Bumpkins are okay too :hugs:

Kte I developed a tear about 5 weeks after having Noah I had a great cream that fixed me in a few weeks. Will have to see if I can find a tube and see the name. Glad they gave you another week go back to docs if you feel you need another one.

Ive had a break through with Noah he's now for days been taking his naps in a cot rather than on the sofa. :happydance:

Thanks Maffie, this bloomin' thing just never went away, she printed something off saying it can go in 1-2 weeks usually. I have just been putting up with it but decided I shouldn't, it needs sorting because I was having to psych myself up to go to the loo :dohh:

Hurray for Noah napping in his cot! :happydance:

Yikes, that is still going on? It took mine about 3 months to heal. I'm kinda prone to them cause of IBS anyways. My poor butt don't stand a chance!! ;)

Shesh, I dunno what is wrong with me the last 2 weeks, I just can't seem to catch up on sleep. I slept 10 hours last night and felt like I aint slept a wink. I aint even got enough energy to be bothered to type an email! (Hence lack of talk on here from me) bleach. Thank God for Blues Clues DVDs entertaining 8 month olds.

Morning Ladies!

Just got back from baby signing class a little while ago and Emma is down for a nap (hopefully for a while- I need a break, lol). Emma and I are both on the mend- she just has a bit of a snotty nose but nowhere near as bad as it was on the weekend and my headache is lingering a bit but I think it might be due to a change in the weather today rather than a head cold now. Sleepwise, we've had a couple of better nights, getting a solid 5hr stretch at the start of the night and then waking every 2-3 hrs after til I'm finally ready to get up for the day (gotta say, if I offer boob, I can usually get her to snuggle back to sleep in the morning, lol).

Colsy- :hugs: :hugs: :hugs: Seriously I think Monty and Emma are coordinating their crappy sleeping! That night when she didn't settle til 1am, she was awake until 1am and it wasn't a case of her waking and not resettling  In the end, I took her to the bathroom and wiped her face down and then we played in front of the mirror for a couple minutes before I brought her back to her room for one last attempt at putting her back down and that time it actually worked. She was sick too so I'm sure that had a lot to do with it since the sleep had been better until last week but while sick, it seemed like what worked one night wouldn't work the next- just when I thought we had a bit of a routine down :dohh: I talked to my mum about it and apparently I was the same as a baby- as she put it, it must be some kind of karma/pay back for all I put her through, lol :) I hope your GP can help you with Monty's sleeping and provide you with a referral :hugs:

Aimee- Hope your dad is doing okay :hugs:

Sam- Good luck TTCing!

Maffie- Congrats on Noah napping in his cot! I'd probably stay with family too- it'd be nice to have someone to help with Noah as he gets more mobile and busy if you feel tired from the pregnancy :hugs:

Kte- hope the new cream works well for you and sorts that fissure out once and for all :hugs:

Chaos- I hear ya re: too tired to do anything productive  I'm dragging my sorry @ss around and Emma is full of beans- apart from naps, we get pretty much the same amount of sleep so I really don't know where all this energy comes from!

Hope everyone is having a good day :hugs:

Energy Kaites whats that??? I think that left me many moons ago. I cant imagine how im going to be with a 2 hour commute to work when I go back (16 hours im going to be out the house) groan cant see that lasting for long!!!

Glad to hear Emma is feeling better :)

Jo - had to say this before I did anything else....they are talking absolute crap!!! You can work in NICU as a midwife AND as an adult nurse. We had midwives working in NICU. If midwifery is what you want to do then go for it!!

Well James is now pulling himself up to stand about a million times a day. He can generally get himself back down again too but he does fall over occassionally. Went to see a childminder today cos my sis isn't coping with James at all. She is fab! James took to her straight away and shes really laid back. He got on with the 2 other kids she has on a Monday and Thursday. And he even ate dinner from her! So he starts on Thursday :)

At least you have an awesome excuse for lack of energy :haha: Ouch that's quite a commute! I suppose you won't have long til your next mat leave starts but with that commute, I'd be looking to quit too :hugs:

LK- that's great that you found a CM you like so quick!

Rainy day here- good excuse to turn on Food Network and pluck away at the pile of laundry :)

Yeah going to have to get a lift to the train station in nearest town then 2 trains there. :( Ahhh well will make me a strong single mummy.

Evening all,

Chloe down for the night. She was much easier to take to bed tonight, last week she was home with being poorly and she would just cry and cry, I'd be back and forward. She was so tired but it was so hard getting her to bed. Tonight I think nursery has really helped tire her out, plus she obv feeling much better now too.

Chloe has kind of figured out how to wave hello. If you wave at her she puts her right arm up and flails it about. She has done it a few times so its not a fluke anymore! Although she doesn't get it's for bye bye too. It was so cute when she waved at us when we went to pick her up!

Chaos: That sucks being prone to them, not that I want to but if it went and came away then I wouldn't mind, its a compromise I am willing to take! Hope you get some more energy beans :flower:

Maffie: That commute doesn't sound fun, hope it passes quickly, when will you be able to start you next lot of maternity leave?

Kaites: Glad your both on the mend :flower:

LK: Glad you found a good CM that suits James!

Im thinking of starting it between 30-35 weeks (going back at 24 weeks if they give me my 6 weeks leave) all depend son if they sign me off again. Im back on the blood thinning injections and seeing a consultant again soon.

Thanks, i never did get round to sending you a message on FB.

Ive decided im going for Nursing now, its gonna give me such a range of options, then i can do midwifery at a later date and do the 18 month course. My tutor agrees that its the right way to go for me, she said as a nurse i can then specialise in neo natal. Im hoping to go UWE so just praying i get in and get a placement in W-S-M hospital, that would be ideal! Got to get in first!! Am really struggling with my personal statement :(

I got my ethical essay on euthanasia back and it was my first proper essay and i got a merit for it :) Am well happy with that!

Well done Jo. I was always a bit pants with the essays. Glad you made a decision though. I did Children's Nursing at UWE. There were roughly 700 applicants and 39 made it onto the course so I was well chuffed.

well, we had a lovely day at th4e stables yesterday but I was a twazzock & forgot the suncream, so had to keep harry in the shade most the day, so he never went riding or anything, but my nephew did. Have done nothing today- just a lazy, not even gonna bother gettin dressed day.

Kte, was it you who said they got an abnormal smear back? My sis did, & just had another one aftre 6mths & that's come back abnormal aswell so now she's got to have a copolscopy tomorrow & I'm babysitting Caleb while she's up the hospital. She's crapping herself. Does anyone else have any experience with this. I keep telling her it'll be fine, but I guess you never know....

colsy, yes Harry is enjoying food again, and is a lot easier to read with regards to when he is hungry & when he's had enough etc. He still wont eat lunch, but I can usually manage to get him to have a fromage frais which I spoon feed him mid afternoon & he's taking approx 1-2oz of cooled boiled water a day now too. He's very into sweet potato wedges at the moment & lamb mince, though he does get frustrated if the bits are too small for him to pick up n eat properly. I just try to make everything 'harry friendly.'

sorry to hear Emma & Monty are still sleeping so badly. Harry's gone back to waking at 1am & 5am, but does settle back really quickly after a BF, so I guess I shouldn't complain. He seems well rested & is an angel during the day, so i thi8nk i';m pretty lucky,.

anyways... i'm knackered, sorry I cant remember what everyone';s written, but I'm off to bed now before I die!!! I feel soooo drained the last couple of weeks :(

Flora, my mum had abnormal smears after having me and had to have laser surgery to remove the abnormal cells. I think they pretty much just shaved a layer off the cervix but I'm not too sure- that was about 30 yrs ago and she's never had problems since. Only problem that she had was that she was pregnant with my brother at the time but didn't know it (she had periods for the whole first tri) and it caused her to go into premature labour a bit further along in the pregnancy and he was born at 26 weeks. Hope your sister is okay :hugs:

Sounds like we're all tired these days- I think it's 'cause all these LOs are so much more active and always getting into stuff. Emma definitely keeps me on my toes now

Hi girls - just popping my head around the door to say that Thom cut his first tooth today! Poor dab hasn't been right for days - I wasn't sure if it was chicken pox... It still may be I'm not sure.

Hope everyone is well... Will try and catch up over the next few days :coffee:

:hi: Neon, how are you??? :)

Maffie, you might be pleased to know that you're not the only bumpkin expecting another baby. Danni1979 who had Saffron is now about 5 weeks pregnant too

(I tried going to bed but couldn't sleep, lol, so came back on here, god i'm sad!)

Helloo :hi: flora!
Well I've just skim read through loads of pages. The videos are fab! Maffie - you have a JJB? Spotted it at your Mums I think? I am a big fan :D

T seems to be doing everything at the right time but I just can't get him to eat. It's becoming a bit of a nightmare.. He clamps his mouth and point blank refuses. We're trying BLW but it's so hard :(

Any tips I'd be very grateful
