So, this is the weirdest symptom I've yet to have. For the past two days there has been an on and off burning sensation on the left side of my left breast. It literally just feels likes someone is pinching the skin there with their fingers.

My breasts have grown several sizes since the beginning of my pregnancy and I've never felt this. What could it be??

It's possible that they are gearing up for milk production. I remember a distinct burning sensation shortly before I started leaking last time.

It just seems so weird that it's in one little spot, like 1 square cm. I have been producing colostrum for quite some time now and have never felt this, but maybe my milk glands are filling in even more so??

I've gotten this but it's twords my arm pits it goes away after a while not sure what it is

I HAVE HAD THAT ALL THROUGHOUT THIS PREGNANCY!!! It started in my left breast and now moved to my right (my right breast has grown larger then my left, and when I lift my arm, it feels like the skin is tight) I don't know such scary changes. I went to two different breast specialists, and they just brushed it off as hormone changes. I don't think you have anything to be worried about.

I didn't get it at all yesterday, but my breasts definitely seem bigger than they were about a week ago and much more tender overall.

I get that and the pain I get when its cold is horrendous xx

TMI: I've just noticed that the Eiffel Tower has decided to stand in for my nipples for the time being. Not the aerola (b/c I had a breast reduction the aerolas have not stretched) but the actual NIPPLE is just very... Tall. and thick.

yeh haha, my nipples change constantly!!! I swear everyone on this forum has naseau, cramping, etc....typical pregnancy symptom symptoms. I seem to have the weirdest and rarest symptoms of pregnancy which is breast issues (pain, burning sensation, tight feeling on the side of my breast along my armpit, when I lift my arm) and only in my right breast. It is really getting to me because I am 16, 3 days and I thought when i hit second trimester this will go away :(( I GUESS NOT!

Oh honey I thought that second tri would be a breeze. 1 week from third tri and well it has been better than first but it's a whole new set of problems lol.

The nausea finally went away but the fatigue has stayed as well as some random crankiness. Breasts are very sensitive little things and become very strange during pregnancy. Has any of your colostrum come in yet?

NO my colostrum hasn't come in yet, but I get these zingers in my breasts (they have eased up a bit but still when they come OH MY!)

Did one of your breasts grow more then the other? My right breast feels thicker and more dense. I hate it. I really hope this doesn't last throughout my pregnancy. You are 26 weeks!!! SO lucky what I would do to be that far along right now lol

Trust me dear you will get there....... Not much of a cakewalk, still get nauseous and the belly is getting big and uncomfortable for many of my sleeping/sitting/lovemaking positions. Ugh good thing I don't have a libido right now.

Anyhow my colostrum has come in. Before my surg one breast was always a little bigger than the other, I would assume the same thing could happen in pregnancy--no two things are perfectly the same size. I haven't really noticed any discrepancy in size though

I have this often. Like a burning tingly feeling. I think it's boobs getting ready for milk x

I have no such experience at all like that. Sure, they've grown & gotten all dark. My milk didn't 'come in' with my first & was on domperidone fr higher productivity. I'm wondering if this might be the case again. Does colostrum start flowing before birth?

Qmama that is a great question. Have read that it can come in during pregnancy or a few days after giving birth. There's no way to tell whether it will or won't until after you give birth. Guess I was lucky to start producing early!

It doesn't always make a show with every pg. I have had in some and not in others.

I wouldn't worry about your milk.... All the reading I have done and talking to mw and LC and specialists, they all say that all women will have milk come in...it is just if our LO have a proper latch or not that causes us not to have great milk production. My first had a horrible latch and my nipples almost fell completely off...I have had so many problems in my past with BF because of pain (now know it is Reynauds syndrome). I know just as much or more than my local LC's now. But always know that if things don't work out then you did your best and don't let anyone let you feel otherwise.:hugs:

As for growing breast's, mine have never grown this much before in any of my previous pg until the very very end. I am now wearing my nursing bra and I am almost overflowing, so I am sure I will have to purchase some more once my milk comes in. I too have had this burning. My bbs are just that much more sensitive and sore this time than any other time, and yes have had that burning sensation quite frequently.

Now I know what to watch put fr on the bb front! I won't panic if they suddenly burn & I wld be very happy if they 'leak' before birth!

Yes, I only noticed that I was producing colostrum when I actually started manually expressing my milk to see if any would come out. Now a few drops will leak out at the squeeze of a nipple :haha:
