I have posted abot this before but now its really starting to take over my life and make me feel so down.

I find it so hard to describe, its like at night I feel like im buzzing, vibrating in my chest area. I couldn't pin point one area, but it drives me crazy and stops me sleeping, sometimes I have it in the day but mostly its a night. I even wake up with it. I've been tested for thyroid and that came back as normal and have had other bloods taken but everything seems fine. My doctor (2 of them ) have no idea and just look baffled when i tell them. I do have high BP and am now pregnant again but have had it well before I got pregnant, but after my last pregnancy. It is there most nights though I do have times when it goes away for a week or so.

People here before suggested depression, anxiety and the only thing Im anxious about is this and yeah Im constantly worrying about it thinking its something horrible.

I just cant believe how its taken over me, I hardly sleep because of it and with a toddler and being 5 mths pregnant its making me feel awful.

anyone else have it? xxx

i feel on edge when im anixous but also the week before my period i feel like im buzzing my bust constantly burns the gp says its hormones so im having accupuncture to balance it x

Thanks for the reply. do you feel like its like an engine running inside? You prob think im mad when i say that, but that's what its like for me...so strange x

Any chance its palpitations?

For me, my palpitations feel like a strong fluttering sensation inside my chest...but others can feel something completely different going on in their chest.

Plenty of hits on google for "palpitations buzzing feeling"

hiya

no I also get palpitations from time to time, but this is definitely something different. Scared to google as made that mistake before and it came up with parkinson's and MS....did my anxiety a world of good I can tell ya :) x

Anxiety and stress would be a good cause for jittery, vibrating feelings. and as you mentioned worrying about it more just makes the stress and anxiety worse. Perhaps you are unconciously clenching muscles. Have you tried massage therapy?

nope but its like it coming from my chest, so would tht help? x

A feeling of internal buzzing or vibrating is actually a classic symptom of anxiety. If you suffer at all from anxiety then that would be a pretty likely cause, and the more you focus on it, the worse it will get (sorry, not a very helpful comment, but would explain why it feels like it is taking over!) It would certainly be worth looking into that as a cause if there is a chance it could be that.

Thank you. It's just so reasuring to think it is anxiety as Im scaring myself thinking its something really horrible. It's just such a horrible feeling x

Thank you. I've never heard of that site but will def be going there x

i get that buzzy feeling too, in fact, i think weve spoken before about this. I had scans, bloods went to see a specialist and mine was vertigo (dizziness when inner ear is damaged) could it be something like this? xx

A few times I've thought about my ears as occasionally they feel funny, like I can feel a pulse in them? Did u feel the buzzing inside ur chest too and how did you get diagnosed :)

i felt like i was constantlly rocking internally if that makes sense as if i was on a boat, you might think it comes from your chest but it could come from your ears. Afetr going to the docs, the seeing a specialist and having a few tests and a scan, they concluded that it was probably a virus which has got to my inner ear and caused this sensation. I still get it now but thankfully its not that bad, it feels worse when im stressed or tired. I also get sharp pains in my ears every now and again.
it might be worth getting your ears checked out x
