I have no idea where I am cycle wise as I am still waiting for my first AF. m/c was on 06/02 was a natural and complete, ultrasound 2 weeks later confirmed no retaned product. I have no idea when hcg went to zero, I havent had any bloods taken at all and don't want to waste any hpt's but would assume I am back to zero now?
The only indicators I have been going by is now my CM which as been steadily building to white and creamy. Yesterday I had a sort of caramel coloured bit of stretchy snotty goop and today back to creamy again but less so and a bit wetter/thinner.
Should I start using OPK's do you think could I be gearing up for O, not so much for ttc but so be preared for when af is due mainly. (not that we won't give it a shot!!)
Also if you temp chart what did your temps do, I am still up in the 37's which was my pregnancy temp and haven't yet dropped back to my cover line.
So confusing!!!!
Well, I understand not wanting to get a HPT and waste your $ ~ but I would HIGHLY recommend it just to be sure- especially if you're waiting for AF and everything. If you get a faint BFP- AF might not come- and if anything will ease your mind that everything IS done- even if you've already had a scan- you never truly know it's 100% complete.
Unfortunately a lot of CM is a common occurrence after a miscarriage- and it doesn't necessarily mean anything.
A lot of ladies are getting that- myself included- I'll have to see if I can find a few links on where I read that.
I do think it is a good thing after you do the HPT to start using OPK's- it won't hurt at all- and definitely can help you pinpoint O when it does occur- I had a d&c about 2 and a half weeks ago and started using OPK's about 3-4 days ago- I *may* have already ovulated for all I know- or I may not have- but I figured it wouldn't hurt to check and watch - even if just for the purpose of trying to learn what's going on in my body. If I get an OPK +, great- I will make sure to BD!
But if not- it's at least giving me something to do while this whole mess sorts out.
Here is one I found:

Waiting on period
The most common recovery:
Your bleeding will taper off to spotting within a week, and maybe random spotting will continue for another week. Your hCG drops steadily, usually hitting zero during the end of the spotting, or about 10 days after the miscarriage or D&C. When the spotting ends, you will get strange symptoms. If you use a fertility monitor, it may say you are ovulating, but you are not. You may see lots of cervical mucus coming out, sometimes still brown or yellow, but it is not a fertility sign either. In fact, most of the time, you will not ovulate in this cycle. You should not be trying to get pregnant, either.
Some women find they have mild pregnancy symptoms, or little ovulation cramps. Many many women think they could be pregnant, because strange things are happening and their period is "late" (although almost every post-miscarriage period is late.) These symptoms are due to the body's attempts to regulate its hormones again. It may kick into gear right away, and you will get a new period in four to five weeks, or it may struggle a bit, and the period will not come for seven weeks. If you chart your temperatures, they will be all over the place. This is all perfectly normal and expected. Eventually your period arrives and can be either light or heavy. There is no "normal" right now.
