Just a quick question:

For those of you who had a c-section, did you experience some urinary/bladder issues afterward? I seem to be healing great otherwise, but when I go to use the restroom (pee) I begin peeing and feel fine, but when it gets closer and closer to the end there seems to almost be a tightening feeling (almost as if someone is twisting my bladder) and it gets a little uncomfortable to finish urinating. But I always empty my bladder and as soon as I stand up and am finished, the feeling is quickly gone and I feel fine. Pre-pregnancy I was prone to UTI's and I thought this might be one, but there is no burning, no urgency to go when there is no urine, and no uncomfortable feeling that stays after I use the restroom. It's only at the end of urinating that I feel it. Has anyone experienced this? I know they had to remove my bladder to get the baby out (so I was explained) and when I press on my bladder it is sore, just didn't know if this urinating issue was normal?

I dont think I remember that feeling. I was never told that they removed my bladder tho. Do you know if that is a standard thing they do, or if yours was in a position that they had to? You probably will be having a check up soon right? You might want to ask your doctor then just to make sure its normal. I'm sure it is tho if they removed your bladder.

I had this too and its gone now , never asked about it as i had it with my first and it went in time. Ask the docs when you have your check up put your mind at rest anyway :)

Had 4 sections and never had this. To remove a bladder is a big operation. Do they mean this or did they have to move it to one side to access the baby? Hope u feel better soon.

Thanks ladies. Yes, the doctor said he had to move my bladder to the side to get to the baby. He said that's how it's always done, I guess? I don't know. This feeling is getting better....I don't have a doc visit until my 6-week check up, but if it continues into this week, I think I may call to get in earlier. We will see:)

I had a bit of a pain like that too and it faded in a week or so I think. But it might be worth asking a midwife or someone just in case.

i dont think ive had that pain allthough can quiet often be sore inside but its getting less sore each day, just mention in to ur mw see what she says xxx
