Hi I had a baby 12 weeks ago and just found out I'm 4 weeks pregnant. My internal stitches are still not right and still a little hard. The doctor told me they just not devolved yet (this was before I knew I was pregnant). Has anyone else got pregnant so early after a c section and had any problems ??

I am planning on getting pregnant in May, after a section Jan 8. I don't think that your uterus stretches until 12 weeks pregnant?? That's an extra 3 months... I think you will be fine! What did your doctor say about the risks?

I was advised not to try for at least 6 months, preferably 18, as your body just isn't healed enough to cope with a pregnancy. I would go see your dr straight away as it can cause complications and be dangerous for you and baby so soon.

My doctor told me not to get pregnant again for 18 months minimum. Of course, I had a crazy uterine incision (inverted T) and a higher risk of rupture, so that might not be the same for everyone.

I've heard of people having babies perfectly fine getting pregnant quickly after a c-section. Really, only the doc can answer this one, since I think it goes by the individual person.

I am having a c section in June....i asked my doctor when was the soonest I could get pregnant afterwards.
he said that the rule of thumb is 18 months...but he would be fine with me getting pregnant around 3-4 months later.
so....idk. i guess it depends on your dr.
and also i guess it depends on your health. i am (thank God) healthy, so that may play a major factor as well.

Ok, first of all please don't worry! I found out i was pregnant with my second when mt first was only 3 months old.. As you can see by my tickers they are just a year apart. Anyway, ill post what i posted in another thread, I'm on a phone so its easier than re-typing it all!!

Nope, i was really worried..went to see the doctor when i found out i was pregnant with my second expecting to hear a list of everything that could/would go wrong. She seemed baffled i'd come to see her, never once mentioned scar rupture or anything else and told me to go see the midwife but if i ever felt too much pain around my scar then to make an appointment to see her.
When i saw my midwife (same one as for my daughter) she laughed and said "theres always one in the group thats back here after a few months"
Again, no scary horror stories and said exactly what my doctor did.
I saw a consultant (cant remember when) and we discussed my options. I had already decided a planned section (other complications to do with my previous birth) But she did say she would give me 60% VBAC chance and fully support me whatever my choice was. The only thing was that i'd be monitored a lot closer during the birth "just in case"

So, no, no scary stories here

I was also told to wait 18 months after my section, try not to worry as im sure there have been loads of ladies in this situation but i would go to your doctor or midwife straight away so they can go through your options etc etc x

Hi first of all like many have already said don't worry! I have 12 month old daughter and an 11 day old son, there's 51 weeks between them. Like you I was nervous when I found out I was expecting again so soon after my ecs but the doctors/midwives were all fine. I had a trouble free pregnancy apart from being tired and had a planned c-section.

Hope you have a trouble free pregnancy  x

I did! I got pregnant 6-7 weeks after having my 3rd c-section. I was scared! I had just had a baby and now pregnant with my 4th. My doctor wasnt concerned at all :) Everything went smooth and had my.4th c-section with no issues. My boys are 11 months apart :) Irish Twins are special...congrats!!

My LO is four months and I'm 5 weeks pregnant :)
Had an emergency section last time ans hoping for an.elective section this time

I had a c section with my daughter 3 years prior to me having my twins via c section -again- then I got pregnant exactly 3 months after my c section with my tiwins and had a successful pregnancy and delivery to a baby boy who is now 3. My same OB/GYN told me if I want to have another I could and suggested that I do so soon because of my age. I asked my doc if that was safe and he said it is- that I didnt have to worry - his only concern was scar tissue but its the same risk as having only had 1 c section and it would be rare if i had any issues with implanting. I hope that helps - just stay positive and keep a close relationship with your dr- thats what i did :) Everybodys body is different and so is each pregnancy.

I was told to wait at least 12 months. I, however, am 5 weeks pregnant and my LO is 5 months old. I haven't been to an appointment yet so not sure what he will say. Sorry I can't help, just wanted to let you know you are not alone. :hugs:

Thanks for your post momofone, i see you had 4mcs too like me, congratulations on your pregnancy too :cloud9:

I got pregnant three months after my section. Doctor said it was okay to do. My lo's will be one year apart! PM me if you have any questions honey.

Mum got pregnant about the same time as you after a c-section. She was fine x

I was told 18 months i would go see my DR and let him know you are prgnant
