Hi,

I attempted to make the very colourful whoopie pies.

(hope the link works)

They are really vibrant colours, I used normal food colouring and they came out like light brown as if I hadn't put any colour in at all!

How do I get the vibrant colours in my baking?

:flower:

personally, i find normal food colourings to be really dull, and it takes a lot of it to actually turn out nice.

the ones i find work best are the wilton food colours. they are almost like a paste, in a little pot. you need to little of it to make the colour that i usually use a tooth pick to put such a tiiinnny amount in the mix! this is what they look like:

Either use Wilton or Sugarflair. Wilton would probably be best

I've always used Wilton too. I love the Wilton colors, and you can get them in so many colors and mix them to get desired colors too. =)
