Calling all Fur-parents!

GingerPanda - I laughed so hard at that one even OH turned and asked me what was so funny lol

dizzy65 - that's a big "baby"

oox_tasha_xoo - Whiskey is such a cutie pie! Where'd he get his name?

theraphosidae - any reason why you guys decided not to spay? Some times I wish I had of waited for one litter from my oldest, but not wanting all those kittens, I would feel so guilty not knowing if they were going to good homes lol....I'm a bit of an over thinker.

Oh we are spaying...I just have to get off my lazy ass and call around to some vets :haha:

It's so expensive at the vet's office. They wanted $300 each for a spay. I drove them about 45 minutes to a low-cost spay/neuter clinic. It was $55 each. SO much better!

Wow that's a lot. There's a spay/neuter clinic here so I'll give them a call. Thanks for the info.

Hotbump your puppy is adorable!! :) Oh my gosh it's the cutest puppy I've seen. I just want to squeeze it lol.

I love my Percy soo much :haha: My youngest is glued to him! He always shows him off to everyone. He is only 2 yrs old and says "This Percy(sound like perchee when he says it). This doggy. Mine" :cloud9: Percy seems to love him too :D

Anyone recommend any puppy food? He seems to be quite the picky eater lol

Percy is gorgeous, I love GSD's.
Does anyone keep guinea-pigs? Thinking about getting a couple as family pets.

I used to keep a ton of them. At one point in high school, I had about 20, and was the sole breeder for my aunt's pet shop. What do you want to know? They're great pets, but a bit noisy sometimes.

Ooh get a skinny pig! I love hairless animals. I had a hairless rat a couple years ago...he was so awesome.

We just got a couple mice...the cat spends all her time sitting outside the tank watching them.

Snake chow? :haha:

I had a frog once that ate pinkies. He was awesome.

hahahaha I was thinking "this is a happy pet thread I won't discuss what the mice are for..". The mice are safe, but the pinkies are for our lizards. Our snakes are too big to eat pinkies...I've got two snakes on adult mice, two on rat pups and one on jumbo rats. So I don't see rodents as pets...except for our hairless rat. He was a pet. I wonder if OH will let me get another one...haha

Hey, I still consider it a happy pet thing! Your "scale-babies" gotta eat! :haha: But I love reptiles, so my perception might be skewed

DH came home and said one of his friends at work was starting to breed bearded dragons, and just had his first clutch of eggs. DH told the guy to give him his phone number "because I have a feeling my wife will freak". So it was his way of saying he wanted a bearded dragon... But it's my beardie, so I get to clean the cage and feed it and stuff.

I do love beardies, though. And uramastix.

We have a couple beardies and we've bred them several times. The female is older now though and past her prime, so the male will try to get it on with he and she'll get all mad and they'll start to fight. I've had to seperate them a few times. They're in perma-sleep right now though with winter.

Here's some photos of our reptiles (I'll spoiler the snakes for people who don't like them)

It's so funny; I always click on the spoiler tags in this thread, even though I know I'll be terrified by what I see.

Your pets are super cool, theraphosidae. I would even go as far as to call the gecko adorable.
