I've never ever given myself an electric shock, I'm so scared of things like that! Like when people have them little gadgets where you shake their hand and it buzzes you? I've never fallen for them cos I'm so wary! I've had an electric shock by touching somebody or touching a stair rail, is it like that?
I get the concept, I guess if your dog doesn't listen to you shouting its name then they'd come in handy. Thank you for answering!

your dog definitely isn't silly!
I use a choker lead on Buddy, he doesn't really pull so there's no need really but it's more because if he did pull I'm rather small compared to him and on a normal lead he'd probably carry on and pull me straight over, whereas with a choker it'd stop him. Off lead though, he's brilliant. Only walks a metre in front and constantly looks back to make sure we're still there, he comes over as soon as I call him. Thank god!
A friend of mine who uses this site has some troubles walking her dog on & off lead, ima tell her to check this thread out
