My youngest cat would bite and scratch inappropriately for a VERY long time after I adopted her...to the point where I was worried if she would hurt a baby. We had to stick to our guns of ignoring her when she did it and stopped all play and attention. Literally get up and walk away from her. She doesn't do it any more
Ashe our Siberian/mainecoon mix has decided that the alarm to wake up in the morning is actually the cuddle alarm. It goes off and she hops into my husband arms for belly rubs while I hold Him. 9 min later the alarm goes off again, she walks over the both of us so I can cuddle with her. Then we can go shower after said cuddles. Cats are silly.
Yes, Sophia has decided when momma is getting dressed that is the time to be held...so I have to put my pants on with one hand because I'm holding a cat over my shoulder like a baby And they are just so sweet, you can't say no or you feel like a bad mommy
The only routines ours have is to come flying into the kitchen any time we go and sit by the washroom door meowing. They know that's where the food is kept. Bonus points if you've turned out all the other lights and are going to bed, because then they will attack the washroom door as they know they're really about to be fed. Little fatties.
