When i started my last pack i had to ask hubby if he was ok with that.
His answer yes but i'm sh*t scared!
I said that i think we're supposed to be!! But he's been looking at cute baby clothes ever since!!!
I'm over here from WTT, as well. Right not we are NTNP, but I have been charting for a month and a half to help figure things out. Hope to see you guys around.
Glad we can all go through this together!! Babydust to everyone!!
It felt weird not taking my pill before I came to work.. like I was forgetting to do something. Talked a little more to DH and he was very nervous, which is funny as that's the total opposite of what he has been. I got nervous a month or two ago knowing that time was getting close and I asked him if he was sure and without even pausing he said yes absolutely and told me he would hide my pills from me if he had to. Now that's it's real he's getting scared. Don't get me wrong he's still on board though, because I told him to be honest and if he doesn't really want to yet then he needed to let me know. He's still excited just said he's nervous about providing etc. I of course am too, but we waited until this point for a reason and everyone says if you wait to have a baby until you have enough money than you'll never have one. Right now I think I'm more nervous about silly things like how bad my first AF off of the pill is going to be, how badly my face is going to break out, if I'll get sickness when I'm pregnant, etc. I'm DH isn't one of those guys who gets *ahem* performance anxiety BD'ing around the time when it really matters. I read others say that happened to them, but figured it'd be no problem with him since he was soo excited and seemed so ready before. Oh well we'll just have to see.
I know what you mean about the little worries! I haven't had a proper period in 10 years!!! I barely remember what they were like!!
I'm just scared I'm still gonna be here next June!
Its my friends son 1st birthday this week and when I picked up his prezzi (a clatterpiller - so excited about it, I had one growing up and loved it!!!) I showed hubby and you could see in his face the look of, I want that for our kids!!! He said to me, I'm not good with waiting!
MrsMandy have you gotten your bleed yet? I'm cramping now and had a bit of spotting so I think it's on its way. I have this fear that it's going to last forever or something since I'm not starting a new pack of pills lol
Hi mkyerby! Yeah mine started this afternoon - its normally 1st thing when I wake up so I think my body knows something is changing already (but it did something similer a few months ago too!)
I have been documenting my dates so far as I'm not waiting a month before trying. Just worried now about how long until my 1st proper period as I've never had proper cycles!
I was reading the other night about the importance of drinking lots of water (which I'm really bad at) for ovulating and EWCM and also how evening primrose can help but they recommend you only take it until ovulation - I have no clear cycle so can't pinpoint my ovulation. I might try for a couple months see if there is a pattern now after 10 years of solidly taking the pill then maybe get cheap opks to use with ep?
Do you think you'll be doing anything other than bd-ing as much as poss? Xx
Hi! I'm coming over from the wtt thread! Even though we are technically preventing this month we plan to get on with it next month! Hopefully dh's medication settles down and his sex drive comes back! But when I know I'm fertile I'm really hoping he'll just agree to get on with it.
I'm not doing anything at first. Temping would be really hard with my crazy schedule and working nights on the weekends only. I'm trying to save some money and avoid buying opks, but I probably will buy them if nothing's happened in a few months. So for now we're just going to try to BD as much as possible and I'll try to look out for EWCM. Its going to suck not knowing what's going on and if I'm O'ing or not, but I'm thinking this cycle I'll try to BD as many days as we can from CD 10-20.
My cycle has never been regular, so temping for me is kind of cool to see when things happen. Last month I only had a 7-9 day (I think) lp, and I think my cycle was 35 days or so. Some people have only 28 day cycles and day 28 was when I supposedly o'd.
I would say even if you have a weird schedule, temping when you can can still help narrow things down a bit, mkyerby16. It's free, so no wasted money. All you need is a thermometer. You can get Fertility Friend as a free app.
Does anyone here know how long it took their mother's to get pregnant? I know my mom had about 3 years before she got pregnant with me after my brother was born just because it never happened for that long. I wouldn't be surprised if it took me a while.
A bit off topic, but I felt sick this morning. I had a bad headache and even got sick for the first time in years. My husband had to get up early for work, thankfully I was off today, and said, "Maybe you're pregnant". I was like, if that's true, this isn't a very good start.
I asked my mum and she said she cant remember but also said that she doesnt remember having to wait and getting upset that it wasnt happening so i guess thats a good thing?
But i'm the youngest of 3. My eldest sister has unexplained infertility and my other sister is so fertile her hubby just has to look at her and shes pregnant!! So goodness knows what'll happen for me!!
Its exciting though that i finally get to find out!!
I do wish there was a stick you could pee on to tell you definatly 'you are fertile' or 'your not fertile' to save the heartache of years of trying with no success!!!!
