Camera in the operating room? UK

So i am desperate to be allowed to at least bring my i-phone into the operating room so my partner can either film the birth or take pictures as our little boy is coming out! i have no idea if the hospital will let us and i have yet to find out, although it would be nice to see if anyone WAS allowed to take electronics in with them?

Yes my husband videoed the birth of our daughter. It was incredible for me to watch afterwards.

i had pictures taken of us just after bubs was born, so u r allowed too take pics, dunno bout pics of the actual surgery tho xo

We wanted to record our youngest Son's section. Hospital wouldn't allow it

Told us in the theatre that video recording was not allowed. Not really sure why policies are different from one hospital to another. Will be asking if we can record section in May, let see what they say? I would ask otherwise you may feel deflated on the day that it can't happen.

Was curious on this too would love it videoed, got photos last time but would like film too! Will ask my hospital on 30th when I get my pre-op

we werent allowed with either of my boys , oh took pics when we were moved into recovery x

We took pictures in op room and recovery but decided not to film for 2 reasons - DH and I wanted to concentrate on supporting each other, not getting a good angle & also in case anything went wrong. I had a spinal injury falling from a horse and it was filmed - made me feel really sick watching it but also felt wrong to delete it as it had an epic effect on my life for a few years.
Not sure if my local hospital lets you film n surgery but definitely in recovery.

I was allowed with my first but not with my 2nd My hospital said they changed the rules which i was highly p*ssed off with.
