Can a lap and dye bring on your period early?

I had a lap and dye and hysteroscopy on Tuesday which found no problems. I had virtually no bleeding after this, just a tiny bit of spotting. But today (4 days later), when I got up and went to the loo, I noticed some bleeding which is like a light period. Could this be my period even though it isn't due until Thursday? I'm really, really hoping it is as I go on holiday on Thursday! The first month I've actually wanted my period!

Hi hun. My period was actually late after my lap and dye. So im not sure if it could be early. Its great you have the all clear. I was told after my lap and dye that both my tubes where blocked and that i would never conceive. 6 months later i was pregnant and she is 22 weeks old. Good luck hun

Oh that's great news for you! Congratulations. I'm just waiting to see if I get any period pains, then I'll know if it's AF or just bleeding from the op x

i had lap and dye in Feb 10 and everything was fine and clear. i had spotting 3 days before AF was due and then full flo came on - 3 days later. My fs said it is common to spot after a lap, some women don't even get AF until the following month...i think it just depends, everyone is different...good luck
