Can anyone recommend a good book on infertility?

We have been diagnosed with secondary infertility, and had resigned ourselves to not having a baby after 7 years. The first few years we tried, but when nothing happened we sort of assumed it never would and got on with things. I am hostile to his :spermy: but I don't know whether that is because of antibodies or just unfriendly CM.

After 7 years we got a BFP out of the blue - unfortunately I then had a MMC at 9 weeks. It has made us want to try again though, although as I am in my early 40s time is against us.

I want to get a good book on infertility, possible aimed at the older woman - can anyone recommend anything - I need to get myself up to speed on what to try and what we can do asap.

Thanks

Hi Sparky67...so so sorry for your loss! I just picked up The Fertile Female by Julia Indichova...I read great reviews on it. Hope this helps...much baby dust to you.

Hi there, Inconceivable by Julia Indichova and Conquering Infertility by Alice Domar are good. They look at the emotional impact of infertility as well as have nutrition, meditation and other lifesytyle advice.

Fully Fertile by Tamara Quinn and Elizabeth Heller is a 12-week Holistic Programme to help achive optimal fertility. I do yoga which is in the book.

I am trying to follow these books myself but am now determined to be more disciplined and positive and do it. I find negative thinking and set backs lead to me eating crap and drinking coffee and alcohol etc. Time to change for me! xx

Zita West's new book, 'guide to fertilty and assisted conception' is very good. Covers absouloutely everything you could want to know.

I've read loads of book and this is one of my favourites:

I recommend 'A Few Good Eggs' by Julie Vargo and Maureen Regan, it's written by 2 women who have been through it all rather than an FS but they write in a real matter-of-fact, nothing held back way.

I second Dragonmummy - the Infertility Cure by Radine Lewis - all about TCM and things you can do to increase your fertility (and loads of sections for older mothers too).
