Basically just what the title is-- does anyone thing Clomid can help balance out cycles?
So long story short, my ob/gyn diagnosed me with "skinny" pcos. She put me on Clomid in October last year, but it was a completely missed cycle as I had to go out of state for a family emergency. I ended up staying there for a couple of months (my dad had to have open-heart surgery in early November, on an emergency basis, and his recuperation was very slow)... The cycle I had after Clomid was like 40 days, and then I had a sixty day cycle (and ordinarily my cycles are about 14 days long)... I started Provera during this sixty day cycle, and when my period started, I started Clomid again. I was temping, and I didn't think I was going to ovulate this time, but FF gave me crosshairs, finally, on CD 21. However, this was yet another wasted cycle, as after I'd taken the Clomid, he had medical problems, and was put on a medication that severely depleted his ability to get an erection. Started a new cycle, and gave up temping, no meds, nothing. I had given up on the idea of getting pregnant right now. But my cycle after Clomid was 33 days long.... 33 days! A normal cycle! Very exciting for me lol and when I started my period, I had CRAMPS! lol This is another exciting thing for me, since I never get cramping during a period, never, unless I'm on Clomid. I wish I had started charting again when I started my period, but didn't. I'm on CD 24 now... Husband and I bd'ed on CD 16 and CD 21... I'm hoping that we did it around the right times... Since I never ovulate, there's just no way to know, and I have tossed all baby-making tools except my thermometer, so no OPKing or anything.... Took a test this morning, just for giggles, and feel like I see a shadow (but I HAVE to say that everytime I take a test, I see this mysterious shadow.)
See, I have no one to talk to about these things, so I've totally gone a-ranting. I really, after all that gabbing, just want to know if maybe a cycle on Clomid can make your body think it's working right, and go ahead and start. It gives me hope that that last cycle was 33 days, and cramping during my period. (Like bad cramping, not just la-dee-da cramping), and it gives me hope that I'm on CD 24 right now... If someone has any experience with this, please shed some light for me!
My hubby is in the military, and after a weird few months, is finding out that they are medically retiring him, so while I know that this is not the best time to pursue getting pregnant (thus the tossing of my BD paraphenelia) I still can't help but hope!
