Hi ladies,

I'm concerned because I am currently 9dpo, and started having lots of unusual "pregnancy" symptoms from 2dpo till yesterday, when they suddenly stopped. My DH and I just started the p90x program and yesterday's workout was REALLY intense. Before starting the program, I realized that if I did become preg. I would need to stop and not complete the 90 days but since I'm not officially pregnant yet, I decided to start working out.

Well after yesterday's workout I felt very tired, but strangely today no PO symptoms. All of the symptoms that I was having before have disappeared. No more cramps on my left side, nausea, headaches, food aversions, frequent urination and vivid dreams. The only symptom I had today that I had before is fatigue. I took an Accuclear HPT and got a BFN when I got off of work.

I'm worried that maybe the workout I did yesterday had a negative effect on egg if it had been fertilized and implanted. I hope not, but its strange that the symptoms have suddenly stopped!

I've heard differing theories. I've heard that too much stress (and vigorous exercise can be somewhat stressful) can make it harder for an egg to implant. But, I've also heard that some moderate exercise can help implantation. If the egg is already implanted you'd have nothing to worry about. Hope this helped.

My personal opinion is that exercise aids in achieving pregnancies. If you think about it... if activity impeded implantation, we would have evolved to remain inactive during the luteal phase -- or else we never would have made it as a species!

I've been through 3 IVFs and the only one that didn't work was the one where I was on strict bedrest. I felt so.... stagnant. Like I needed to move my body and get my circulation going! Anyway, that IVF didn't work for me. The next one did though -- and I did NOT do the strict bedrest. I walked and stretched and hiked during my 2 ww.

From what you posted, I wonder if the symptoms you noticed from 2 dpo till 9 dpo were just the subtle shifts in pregnancy hormones starting to be produced before implantation. Research shows that the embryo starts giving off complex chemical signals just after fertilization! Some women are very sensitive to those. And then after implantation, there is a different set of hormones that are produced (including hcg that is now entering the mother's bloodstream). So maybe you were feeling the effects of fertilization, and now you'll get a little break before you get the pregnancy pukes??? Here's hoping!

I think exercise should be positive. It will improve overall blood circulation and this can only be a good thing in helping implantation and getting those arteries and veins to grow.

Exercise is a problem if done to the extremes where a woman has too little fat on the body which will effect levels of progesterone.

Continuing a safe exercise routine during pregnancy is healthy for you and your egg/baby. I use to do p90x but now I do the Sculpt My Pregnancy app. I love it. It's a pregnancy app with videos that demonstrate a series of safe exercises & stretches for each month. If you find out that you are pregnant u might want to get it so u can continue to work out safely & not over do it. I did wonders for my back pain. And, I have noticed I'm more toned. I downloaded it from the iTunes app store to my iPad & iPhone. So I can work out from home. Hope you love it as much as I do! I follow them on Twitter & Facebook for more tips, too.
