I lost my little girl Isabella at 13 weeks just over 3 weeks ago. She died the day before and I had her naturally so we could see her.

I am going to try again but we are terrified of this happening again.

How long did it take you to fall pregnant after your loss if you have been through something similar?

Did you have a successful pg next time (or if still pg is it going well?)

I had a mmc in August 2009. Fell pregnant September and am now in 3rd trimester and everything so far is okay.

Very very sorry to read about Isabella. It is a most terrible time to get through. I was also scared of it happening again and it still plays on my mind. Pregnancy after a mc isn't easy as your whole perception of pregnancy is scarred.

so sorry for your loss of Isabella :hugs:

Our son was still born on 2nd January at 36+2. We got our BFP on 15th February and im now 10+6 and all appears well for us...scan in 8 days but until i hold my baby in my arms I cant be sure whats going to happen.

I wish you all the luck in the world xxx

Sorry for your loss hun :hugs:

I have had 2 healthy children then lost at 17w last Feb, it took me till August to fall pregnant again and I'm now heading for 34weeks.

Hope it all works out for you soon once you're ready to try again and hope you're doing ok x

I waited 3 years to try agagin by choice but i had 1 loss and my little girkl is 32 days old. sorry for your loss

Thanks for all the replies.

For those who had late losses were you ever given a reason why? My dr has ordered blood tests for Hughes and I am scared to try again now until I know as I can't go through this again so wonder if I should wait to find out first.

I didn't find out why hun, they offered to do a post mortem but I couldn't bear the thought of that being done to my bubs so I declined. OH and I had one healthy LO together so we didn't feel it necessary to and at the time I didn't want to know what had been wrong - in hindsight I wish I had found out as I constantly wonder what went wrong. I sometimes wonder if I just can't carry boys as I have 3 girls although I did lose a twin in this pregnancy and was only 5 weeks when it started so don't know the sex.

Have they said how long the tests will take to come through hun? Are you wanting to start trying asap? Perhaps waiting for the results will be a good thing as being pregnant after a loss hun is really hard, you worry constantly about everything especially leading up to the time of your last loss, maybe if you have the results and all is ok that will be one less thing for you to have on your mind.

I know how hard it is to wait though, esp if you're longing to be pregnant again. You need to do watever feels right for you, personally I started ttc straight away but am glad it only happened after 6 cycles as I was in a better place emotionally by then but everyone is different x

So sorry for your loss hun xx

I lost my angel in may 2009 and i knew straight away that i wanted to try soon as, so we did, and i thought it would happen rele quick, It took us 8 months to concieve again, it only took us 4 months last time. I started to think it would never happen.... I am now 12 weeks and everything is going great, have my scan 16th April and praying there is going to be a strong heartbeat :)

They didn't test Isabella so the only tests I will have are mine.

I have to go for a ton of bloods tomorrow but then I have to wait 6-8 weeks for the hughes one.

I think I should wait for that because if it is a clotting problem I could get to term and then lose

Thanks for all your replies.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. The name you gave your little girl is beautiful.
We lost our little boy at 22 weeks due to severe congenital abnormalities.
It took us 13 cycles to conceive so I was worried it would take a long time again but I fell pregnant 4 months later (TTC for 2 months) but had an early miscarriage (5 weeks). I then fell pregnant the next cycle and I'm now 16 weeks and hoping.

Good luck with your tests. We waited until after the post mortem results before trying again. Although the urge is to try immediately, for us, it was best to wait and find out exactly what had happened. Pregnancy after loss is a really stressful thing, for us, it was best to know exactly what we were dealing with. Not that that makes it any easier!!! Best of luck.

:hugs:
So sorry for your loss. I had a mmc a year ago March 9th. We waited one cycle and 2 cycles later got another bfp but mc in Aug then got another bfp in Oct only to mc again in Nov. asked Dr if I could take baby aspirin cause I thought it was a clotting issue and he encouraged me so ttc straight away after and got my BFP Dec 9th and am now just over 21 weeks and found out last week we are having a boy. The first baby I lost at 15w +5d was a little girl and they did an amnio on me but they couldn't pin point the reason and I didn't do any post mortum.

FXD you get you bfp!:hugs:
