can i get pregnant with a tsh of 0.2?

Hi Ladies,

I suffer from hypothyroidism. I have been on 75 mcg for a while now which seems to work well with my body. I recently (aug 15 2017) had a miscarriage at 10 weeks. My thyroid dr upped my meds to 100 (was upped to 88 during the pregnancy)...thyroid dr knew i was ttc right away again so she thought my level of 1.54 should be around the 1 mark...so after 2 weeks of taking the 100 dose my heart was beating fast so i stopped and went back to my 88. My recent blood work came back saying my tsh was low at 0.2.

my question is...can i get pregnant with this tsh number? I am currently in the beginning of my 2 ww and see my dr this monday to discuss the blood work.

Your thyroid may be a contributing factor. Ur TSH indicates hyperthyroid (u may be taking too much thyroid med). There are many causes of infertility. Some can be diagnosed with tests but there is also a category called "unexplained" infertility. I think you should look into your thyroid condition first. Would need to know T3 (liothyronine) & t4. If thyroid function is abnormal. Other endocrine abnormalities could be present as well. If your levels of thyroid hormone are too low. Maybe you are not ovulating properly. Then the doctor may prescribe thyroxin to compensate for the inefficiency and restore your fertility. In another scenario you may discover you have hypothyroidism as a result of trying to conceive. Your blood tests show low levels of thyroid hormone. If this is the case. Your doctor will most probably prescribe a suitable treatment to compensate for the insufficiency. i have reoccurring thyroid cancer so my tsh is around .001 and i didn't have a problem with baby one or 2 and now i can't conceive baby 3.
