Hi my name is Andreia im (22) me and dh(27) have been trying to concieve for 5 years.i have pcos and dh has low sperm morphology.ive taken clomid for 6 months and ended up pregnant twice but both ended up being chemicals and now the only option is IVF which will take place some time next year.

i would love to know if enyone on here is in the same boat as me or is going through IVF or has been through IVF i would love to hear your stories or enyone having a hard time concieving with unexplained infertility.

i hope you girls dont mind me joining you.

Welcome to BNB. I also have PCOS, and hubby has low count. We're undertaking our first IVF cycle now - I also have blocked tubes though (so no chance of a miracle I'm afraid)

well its not exacly 5 years yet lol its 4 years and 9 months but i wasent on the pill coz i thought i wont be getting pregnant quick (how right was i) but i had just turned 18 i know its still too young but im glad i tryed early and now i know that there must be a problem and if i had waited until i was 21 ttc i would have not known about these problems until later on so in a way im glad i found out early.

hi hun no they dident even mention metformin but i did ask them but they refused to prescribe them to me they said that the last option was ivf.i was hoping that they would have atleast done surgery to see what is going on inside but they never offered me that option either. my periods are regular but they are very painful. i guess i just need to wait to for ivf and see how it goes.

i wanna wish u all the luck in the world with your ivf process and i hope you get your bfp and a sticky.
how you finding it all so far as i know ivf is a very invasive procedure??

I also have PCOS and my dh has very low sperm motility, I'm now on my 7th and final cycle of Clomid, and start ICSI in January (first appt). In Sept they did a Lap & Dye, HSG and mild D&C on me just to check what was going on etc. I have also been on metformin for about 4 years now, but my doctor wants me to come off it - I keep fighting this!!!

Any questions or just wanna chat, please give me a shout

oh hunni its so hard when you want something so much and it doesent happen its very fustrating and very stressful i hope you get your miracle as soon as possible as im sure you've been through the mill.

I just have pcos, dh fine, but also started ttc young (I was 16, dh was 19) and there isnt a day goes by I'm not glad I started young. after nearly 10 years ttc, I cant imagine having started at the age I am now and having 10 years to go. My Dr constantly reminds me how lucky I am that time is still on my side
