Sorry if tmi--

I had a normal breakfast this morning-a bowl of cereal and 2 eggs and everything seemed ok.

Then awhile ago I was here at my desk and I had to run to the bathroom 2x now.

I've been wearing a pregnancy support belt every day because I get really bad pains in my ribcage-I was thinking that my belt was too tight and that maybe that was the cause. I've loosened it up since then and I've been drinking a lot of water and just snacking on crackers-it's almost lunch time here.

Any thoughts? I haven't taken anything this entire pregnancy and I've just been toughing headaches and pains out but should I take anything for this? Or just take it easy?

I would personally just eat as mildly as possible and see if it passes... but if you want to take something, Immodium AD is on my dr's safe list... hth. :)

Just the BRAT diet. Bananas, rice, (not sure on the last two, but you can probably search it) White bread helps too.

Hi there dry toast, salty crisps, broths are good. Then move onto potatoes and rice. Dioralyte will stop you from getting dehydrated. And best to sip water through out the day. Definitely avoid dairy. If you have the problem for longer than 72 hours call the dr. Hope you get better soon.

Toast is the T in BRAT... I think the A is applesauce?

Anyways, my doctor recommended letting it pass naturally as it's your body's way of getting rid of "something". I had the same bathroom session on Friday so I completely empathize with how horrible it feels. Just remember to sip on water so you stay hydrated.

Feel better soon!

I got ill when I was on holiday in turkey a couple of weeks ago, I stuck it out for four days but ended up taking immodium before the flight home. It certainly stopped it, but I couldn't 'go' for days afterwards, so I think it worked too well

Try to avoid dairy, greasy or fatty foods and too much sugar, drink lots of water and eat bulky fibre foods like bananas. Hope you feel better soon x

I think they advise against Immodium in case it's food poisoning, because then you are holding the bacteria and toxins in longer. Immodium is meant for when you really have to wait, like you're on an airplane or testifying in a trial or something like that. :) Otherwise, you are supposed to let nature take its course, but I would head to the doctor if it gets worse or is not getting quickly better. And yes, stay hydrated :)
