Can i TTC when i have to go for a smear mid cycle?

Hello,

I have now had a period since my d&c in may and we are ready to try again. When i had my d&c he recommended i go and have a smear test as i had cervical warts which need to be checked.

I ovulate around the 2nd july and my smear is booked in for 7th. is it safe to go ahead with this or shud i delay one of them and if so which one?

Firstly, sorry for your loss. In answer to your question, yes, you are safe for a smear. When I got pregnant with my second I had a smear around/ after ov. If you are concerned talk to the nurse or gp about it before they do it and tell them you are ttc. It is much better to make sure you are checked over and get anything taken care of now, rather than later. Good luck! Baby dust heading your way!
