Can someone tell me about their experience with clomid?

Keep going Maz :sex:...at least until CD20...GL hunny!!!!

I O'd CD17 last cycle and caught...I have a 29 day cycle...It was my first clomid cycle since last year...I sadly mcd but am very optomistic about the future!!! xx

Hi Catster

My cycle is usually 27 days, and i usually ovulate around day 11. I'm now CD12 and still only showing high readings. I read somewhere this morning that ovulation can be anything between 5 - 10 days after taking the last tablet, so I have a few days left anyhow.

Thanks for the encouragement ... it is much appreciated. Do you think once every other day will be enough, or should we keep :sex: every day?

:hugs:

Defo keep going till CD20 to make sure...yeh every other day is great!!! But if you get pains, they may be O pains so always BD on the evening of getting the pains!!!!
As I say, I O'd on CD17...so thats late really...just be careful you don't miss O!!!!! Not everything is text book with clomid!!!

GL once again!!!xx:hugs::hugs::hugs:

I am on chlomid, have been for 4 months, both myself and partner have been tested and are fine but no babies yet. Hoping to start 5th cycle shortly. Should I have conceived by now on chlomid?

Well since I last posted in March 2008, I went on to get pg with clomid again, but sadly mcd at 5 weeks. It then took 21 cycles to get pg again, with no clomid, and have just given birth to my baby girl...I tried the Clear Blue Fertility monitor for one cycle and it worked, with no other intervention.

I didn't like clomid at all as for me as it just ended in sadness on both accounts...

I am going t be TTC early next year again, and will be using the CBFM for sure...

Never give up, that's my motto!!!

xxx:hugs::hugs::hugs:

I didnt have any noticable side effects, although do think i ovulated slightly later than predicted even with scans, also I hyperovulated but I didnt feel anythin. Clomid worked for me on second cycle, didnt dtd unprotected on first cycle as I was told not to as could end up with multiple pregnancy due to hyperovulation.

Suzan please don't worry about dying on clomid :)

The bad side effects are extremely rare.

If you overstimulate, it is for one extremely rare, and secondly, the moderate or severe forms of it are even rarer. Reseaching it on google has lots of pages that it "can" happen rarely but extremely few actual accounts of it happening (whereas if you type "clomid" you'll get 100,000's or millions of results I think).

I know cos last month I did get hyper stimulation and ended up in hospital (mild to moderate case) but literally couldn't find any info on it, the doctors only new of it as a "possibility" and my gyno and GP haven't seen it happen ever (GP seen it once on higher dosage, but different circumstances).

I hd 2 months of clomid and got bfp on the second month - I got hot flushes but the main problem I had was severe visual disturbances - it is starting to ease now ( I can read and type better but not drive yet and still cant work and I see snow ALL the time :) ) but thats due to my pregnancy hormones starting to settle - am hoping to be seeing normally in a few weeks.

If theres a side affect you can guarantee I'll get it as severley as you can tho - so thats probably just me :) my opthamologist says its very very rare to get such a reaction for such a long time - will see what my immunologist says next month

so in short - side affects for me bad - but i did get bfp - unfortunately it didnt work out but tbh I think thats about something other than climid x
