My husband and I are looking at IVF IUI etc I have just got the policy documents from our PCT to look at eligibility. My husband has a 12 year old from an existing marriage I have no children. Can someone tell me I am reading this right or wrongly please!

treatments for sub-fertility will be funded if the couple have no living children (including adopted children) from the partership and one of the partners have no living children.

Does this mean we should get funding as I have no children, Im not sure if I am reading it right!!

Thanks

I'm reading it the same as you, I would think you would
(other people maybe haven't commented as they are not sure and don't want to get your hopes up)

i'm not sure about this one, a girl i work with was refused treatment with her ex husband, he had children from a previous relationship, but had also had a vasectomy, so not sure why they were refused treatment

Hello! From the wording it sounds like you will get funding but it does differ from region to region so I would give them a call to check.

Hi huni :flower:

I'm not 100% sure as others have said different areas are different however the way I read it is if you do not have children together biologically or adopted or if one of you has not got any children you qualify ie I think if you had a child from a previous relationship s well even although you have none with each other you wouldn't qualify iykwim.
