I know that stress is a huge factor but could it actually impede pregnancy for a long period of time? I've had a lot going on in my life every since we started trying (with work, family, finances etc) and its been very stressful... could that be THE reason why we're not getting pregnant?

Stress can mess up ovulation - it can delay it or simply stop it happening. So this can prevent pregnancy since you might not be timing sex right (and if you're not ovulating at all, you obviously won't get pregnant).

Since it messes up your hormones I guess it could also stop a proper womb lining developing: so even if you do ovulate, there's no good lining for implantation.

So yes - stress can definitely play a part in ttc.

I believe it can, when I conceived my angel baby on our second cycle we was away for New Years, super relaxed and I was so happy and stress free and we conceived then, but my first cycle I was so stressed with home life (had a lot going on)

So I do believe stress plays a part, I've read up a lot on it too. Try relax Hun, easier said than done I know. :hugs:

I agree, stress could definitely have an effect on conception. From experience, it doesnt have much effect of pregnancy (at least in the 2nd tri on, it may affect it in first tri.) But yea :) just do all you can to relax!
