Hi ladies, unfortunately I have ended up with one of those 24 hour sickness bugs I feel so terrible :( anyway one of the mums at the school earlier said you can have something called drylite? Not sure if correct spelling. But it replaces everything you've lost from being sick. She said it's ok in pregnancy anybody here taken it or know if it's ok? Xx

Poor you.:(
I thinks it's called dioralyte or something. Probably best to check with the pharmacist.
Hope you feel better soon.

The dioralyte website says it's ok but check with df h your health care provider which I guess is them encouraging you to notify them you have been unwell.

Thanks for replies ladies. Been such an awful day I feel like been hit by a bus :( and then to make it worse my DS has it too just waiting for DD to come down with it.. To make it worse my OH works away on an oil rig and he's away now :( I will call midwives tomorrow just to inform them x x

You can indeed. I've taken it previously & have been encouraged to take it again this time by the ER in my hospital. Hope you feel better soon.

Pretty sure Diaralyte is all fine as its mainly salts & sugar replenishers, im pretty sure i took this with my first pg no probs :) sorry your feeling poorly hun x

Yes...I had gastroenteritis at 11 weeks and went to my local clinic and they gave it to me. Hope you're feeling better - it knocked me for six too!
You can make a homemade version of the rehydrating drink (google it but it's basically water, sugar and lemon I think?)
