can you help with dates for testing?

Hi, Had my appt at the fertility clinic today. (They were not happy that my GP had referred after only 2 MCs, thought they were going to turn me away!) I'm not confident in the Dr, as she didnt seem to know a great deal! I asked at the end if they were going to check my progesterone levels, so see if that is why mp LP is short. She said yes at cd21, but I pointed out it said cd2 on the blood slip. Anyway, she said cd21 was based on a 28 day cycle and to do it 7 days before AF is due. I thought it was 7 days after O. I need to be sure as my LP is only 10 days, which, i think, would mean if I go 7 days before AF, I would only be 3 dpo?

I also told her that I was taking baby aspirin, that my GP had OK'd it. She said it was a waste of time, as I would only need it from week 12 to term. I thought you needed it upto week 12, then the placenta took over and you didn't need it anymore? Can anyone clarify?

Sounds like she was basing it on a 14day LP I would just schedule your progesterone test for 7dpo. any earlier or later and the results would not be accurate. baby aspirin is for those who might have a blood clotting disorder and can be taken while TTC and through pregnancy up till the 3rd trimester.
some doctors are against it though due to studys showing a increased M/C in women who have taken INSAIDS ( Aspirin ibuprofen ).

Thanks, would 8dpo be ok, as 7 falls on a Sunday? Im taking a b100 complex too. Should I stop it in case it interferes with my results?

I think that would be fine and B6 should not affect the results.

I was told anywhere between cd21-24 but as I only have a 26 day cycle to do it for halway between my LP.

My LP is 12 days and 10 days with spotting so I went today at 6dpo ish.

Hi, I've been to the docs today and had CD3 bloods done today and as i have a short cycle (23 days) i'm having my 'CD21' done on CD19... except it's a sunday followed by bank holiday monday so my GP is doing CD17 (fasting) and CD21 to try and gauge CD19 results... she did say i may have to have them repeated next month tho.

Also my GP told me to stop taking Vit B complex as i've been spotting for 3 days now instead of full AF and she thinks it's messing things up.

I had all this done 10 years ago and after resginging myself to a childless life i'm back for round 2... sometimes i think i'm mad for doing it but really need to give it one last shot!

I was told to stop my Mega B50 supplement for similar reasons. It changed my ov day from 14 to 10 but my LP was still the same so I was having a 22 day cycle and still spotting.

Vitamins certainly dont agree with everyone.

Glad to know I'm not alone in vitamins not helping!

Can't believe i'm putting myself through this again, but the desire for a child is just too overwhelming as i'm sure everyone here knows x
