I hope to start weaning my LO in afew weeks and want to get organised by buying a blender .... but i have no idea what sort to buy ? there seem to be soooo many on the market

I probably wont use a blender for anything else other than his weaning etc so dont want anything too fancy.

can anyone recommended a mini blender or hand blender that they have found reliable for when weaning ? need something easy to clean as well ...

heres hoping you can help

Hi fizz!

I just got a basic hand-blender from Asda or Tesco £5. I started weaning at 5.5 months and pureed fruit and veg for her. Within a few weeks she was onto mashed stuff so you are only going to use the blender for a very short period. If you are like me and want to be well prepared then you will probably make batches of purees at the one time and freeze them. You could spend a few days doing this and that would be all your purees ready - you dont want to make too much as they need to be onto lumps/textures not too far away.

The pureeing is great fun! Enjoy:flower:

i have the tesco hand blender aswell :D tho im still waiting to use it :( cant wait to start weaning im so excited about it xx

I have this phillips one from amazon. the reviews were excellent and i wanted one that pureed as well and could also be used for the family's cooking too.

fabulous buy, use it all the time.
