Hi ladies,
Here's the deal. I stopped birth control one month ago (Gianvi - Yaz Generic). I stopped because I was having all kinds of hormonal issues - all have which have already ceased! Yay! 12 days after my last AF, I began having cramp/gas-like pains really low which I believe were ovulation pains. I had the fertile CM. The pains continued for about 3 days but no more CM. So I could be wrong but I am calculating O day as the first day of pains. Today I am at 16 DPO. When I was on the pill, I would start PMS symptoms 4 days before AF. Off the pill, I would start terrible PMS symptoms 7 or more days before AF - ugh! This month, I had some mild cramping 13 DPO. It went away after a few hours. I have had no PMS symptoms since - which is extremely unusual. I figure I was already pregnant! 2 BFN's using First Response Early Detection. It's totally not a big deal if we are not pregnant in the first month of trying - BUT why is my period not coming? I assume it's a long ways off if I am not experiencing PMS. I am at 16 DPO. I know that after quitting the pill your cycle can be messed up, but I thought that was because you might not ovulate on time, which I believe I ovulated.
Is it possible for your period to come much later than 16 DPO? I figure those pregnancy tests are super accurate, especially after a missed period. Do you think I still might be pregnant or just messed up schedule from stopping the pill? Oh and just in the past couple days my bbs are DEFINITELY more full, but not sore.

There is definitely a chance you are pregnant! Not sure why the HCG level would be too low still though. I quit BC a year ago and had some pretty messed up cycles after that. I also noticed, PMS symptoms that I normally experienced were different or went away. I probably took 100 HPTs in those first few months cuz AF always arrived at different times. Turns out my cycle is longer than I thought cuz there's no way of knowing when you're on BC. So there is also a pretty good chance that AF is just taking her time. If you keep getting BFNs I would go see a doc but I have a feeling AF will show up without warning anytime now :(

Well, I guess if AF does arrive unannounced I will at least be very grateful for the lack of PMS! Good news either way. :) Thanks for the response! If she doesn't show up I'll probably test again in a week if I can wait that long.

I used to be on Gianvi as well and only went off of it for ttc back in December. It threw my cycles off quite a bit so I wouldn't be surprised if your body is still trying to figure itself out since you've only been off it for a month. Hooray for no pms signs! I feel I have a lot less as well now that I'm free of bcp.

Fingers crossed that you are pregnant instead though! It's definitely possible :) I would do as you said and test again in a week to see how it is if no af.

Today at 17 DPO I am having some sharp pains near my left ovary and right under my belly button and to the left. Same side I had pains on O day. Still no AF and no pms. Trying to wait to test... have to resist drinking wine tonight just in case UGH! :)

Hi, Just saw your thread and would like to know what happened finally; did you get pregnant?

Im going through the same thing now; 16dpo and BFN with no period, or pms symptoms. Have no breast or back pain which is the usual sign I O'd, but have skin breakouts, which is uncommon. Not sure whats happening with my body!

Wow old thread! Just some Input...I got up to 19dpo before spotting this month. Oh the tricks our bodies play :/
Hope your BFP is coming for you losing it!

I've always gotten AF between 16-19DPO so yes, it's possible.
It depends what CD you stopped BC as that plays a huge part in it. You need to be off BC for a full cycle to really know when you ovulate naturally.
