Cancer free!!!

Just wanted to share that yesterday I had my tri-annual cancer check (aka colonoscopy) and all is normal! A bit of back story here - my dad died of colon cancer when he was only 58 (6 yrs ago). I asked my dr to check me out too but she was reluctant because of my young age. I pushed for it and got on the waiting list (at the bottom). 3.5 years later they wheeled me in for my first colonoscopy and lo and behold they found something that the GI specialist said "in 6-12 months would have been cancer". So now, every 3 years I need to get checked out. Yesterday was my second look and they found NOTHING! Woo hoo! I'm so excited that I can go into 2011 free and clear! Deep down I was a little worried that maybe they hadn't removed everything last time and I had something growing there for 3 years!

Anyway, just wanted to share my happiness and I hope every one of us can start 2011 healthy and happy too!
