Instead of creating a new thread I figured I'd bump this one and hopefully get answer. My gp prescribed me canesten yesterday, i picked it up today expecting the usually applicator but it's just the cream. After looking online I'm seeing the applicator might be unsafe so I suppose that's why.
I'm slightly confused and I hope this doesn't seem like a silly question, but if it's internal thrush, how does an external cream fix the problem? The pharmacist said to apply it externally twice a day for 2 weeks...so am I right in thinking that this shouldn't be used internally at all?? Should it only be applied to a certain external area/any place i should avoid?
I suppose I'm just used to the applicator and not sure how applying externally will do much good.
TIA!
