I had taken my toddler and 9 month old for a walk and had stopped the buggy outside our front door. Without thinking I unbuckled my babies straps in her buggy (she sits upright) and got distracted by my toddler so stepped away from the buggy to help him, he had his arms caught in his top. I turned back around to see my little one tipping head first out of her buggy, luckily I caught her mid fall but I got one hell of a fright. She wasn't even bothered and carried on her normal self but I can't forget how completely stupid I was to do that. I imagine seeing her falling head first onto the concrete and the worst happening. No real point to this other to have a rant to myself of how stupid I was not to have my eye on the ball and a reminder that I need to at all times

Aww big hugs. Go easy on yourself, we've all done things like that, my DS has rolled off the bed and the sofa more times than I'd like to admit.

Don't beat yourself up, it so easy to get distracted just for a second especially with a toddler,
My 9 month old is learning to stand so I'm on edge watching her so she doesn't fall and hurt herself but it is hard having eyes everywhere

I did the same as you but was at our local lesiure centre and didn't catch DS2 in time, he ended up face first on the floor in tears!

These things happen, don't beat yourself up about it, you're not the first to do it and you won't be the last :)

Awh what a shock for you but give yourself a break !! Your doing an amazing job :) its tough remembering everything and being ever watchful ! Xxxxx

:hugs: don't be hard on yourself I think we have all done something silly at some point  dd fell off our bed the other day

You don't have eyes in the back of your head! :hugs:

Last night my OH was bathing Isla and even though he was sitting on the edge of the tub she still slipped and hit her head on the side of the tub and then went face first into the water and swallowed a bunch of water. She cried for 15 seconds and then went back to playing with her tub toys. No matter how closely we watch them we can't prevent every accident from happening. They are a lot more resilient than we give them credit for.

Weird unexpected stuff like that happens to our family ALL THE TIME...just the other day I was holding the baby and my toddler climbed on a chair which JUST HAPPENED to tip over and fall on my baby's head while I'd thought he was safe in my arms!

He was okay, not even a bruise, but he cried a lot and I felt shitty for a few days...

Just little reminders to stay on our toes at all times...lol. Weird unexpected stuff happens to all moms, don't be hard on yourself. <3

The PPs are right! Nobody likes to admit it, but it happens to everybody.. My first son fell out of my bed a few good times, always okay (though one time he had a dotted hairbrush pattern on his forehead for half a day). One time i stupidly had him on the couch at work, knowing it would only take one quick movement to fall off, i thought I was close enough...well, i wasnt, and he fell on his head (on carpet) and he was so bendable that his shoulder hit at the same time. He screamed and cried so hard that he exhausted himself, but I thought I had brain damaged him! I ran him to the emergency room, freaking out, and they examined him and assured me that he was okay... meanwhile all of the nurses came by to tell me their baby dropping/falling horror stories. I know how hard it is to get over the feeling, but kids are little explorers. She did what babies do, and the reality is you caught her like a super mom!

Gee my 3 year old fell off he toilet today, head first...

I know how you feel though, when he was 18 months or so he rolled off the bed in his sleep (we cosleep) onto the concrete floor, huge knot on his head. Poor child.

These things happen to us all hun, don't beat yourself up about it :hugs:
