Hi ladies.
Ive been ntnp and ttc for 2 years now. I know some if u have been trying longer, and i wish u all luck!!

When we started trying, we were one of the first out of our friends and now most of them have children!! Some even 2!

My brother got married and his wife pregnant quickly which was hard fir me but i thought by the time their baby came i would be pregnant! But no....my gorgeous nephew has been born and my af keeps getting me!!

Im losing hope. We have friends who just got married and they are our last childless friends left....but she hasnt been drinking lately so i know their announcement will be soon.

Im starting clomid now and hope it works magic. Its horrible being stuck in this ttc rollercoaster. I feel like ive got this big secret and its hard to act happy at all the childrens bdays/christenings/announcements.

Im hoping for a bfp one day xxx

I can understand where you are coming from.

When my hubby and I started TTC we didn't know anyone who was trying/planning/wanting children and now we are the only ones (couple wise) that don't have children. One member of my family is already planning her fourth!

I would love to say it gets easier to deal with the further down the line you are but it doesn't you just find more effective ways to handle the situation.

Thanks for replying. I like your honesty. Sorry to see u have been trying for so long. I wish u luck xxx

TTC long term never gets easier, but it does become manageable. People never ask me about children anymore because at the beginning of our TTC journey I told them that conception for me would never be easy so the pressure from that front is off.

However my brother's girlfriend of less than a year (just wonderful) is pregnant and my mom is already starting with her dumb comments that people need to at least have one child and that selfishness leads to never having children. Ummm...my brother already has a child and she's fully aware of my infertility. Some people just love hearing themselves speak I suppose.

Don't get down. Many couples struggle in total silence with infertility. I had someone I went to high school with message me on FB the end of last year to tell me she and her husband have been trying to conceive for 3 years and she was diagnosed with PCOS three months prior. She told me she's seen my posts on PCOS & TTC disappointments and was too ashamed of her infertility to comment on my posts about the subject. My point being you'd be surprised at who struggles to conceive.

Im sorry and I totally understand we're you are conning from. We've been ttc for 18 months but I live wanted a baby for about 3 years when we first met but I was just to young then. After we got married though I was trying hard and finally got a bfp in October it was a feeling I can never explain to see those two lines. Unfortunately I did miscarry. I just have to say to keep going and pushing and trying because it is worth it when you finally see those lines. Im not sure what all you've tried but my bfp cycle I used pressed and baby danced pretty much 7 days straight from like cycle day 10-17 I know sounds crazy but it worked. I had also been eating better and lost some weight. I've found out now I have a tilted uterus which mean it can take me longer I concieve. I don't know if you've had ultrasounds ad such to look but it can give some answers. Good luck hin

I totally understand how you feel. We've been trying for 20 months and I feel like it will never happen. Then I went to fertility specialist Friday and was told to take birth control pills for a month because I have cyst. Now I feel like I'm going backwards. Oh well! I've realized that it just won't happen when I want it to but when god wants it to happen. Then to make matters worse I have a good friend who got pregnant first month of trying. Just can't get away from pregnant people. Seems like everyone is but me!

I felt exactly the same. Last year I went to two weddings and both brides got pregnant on their honeymoon! My little sister also got pregnant and I clung to the hope that by the time my nephew was born I would be pregnant too but it didn't happen. 7 months later though, after 25 months TTC and countless tests, ops and drugs, it did! So, I don't know if that helps, but getting a BFP seemed like a distant dream for a long time and I can't offer any great advice as it sucks, but just keep holding on and I hope you get there soon.

Hi we are the same ttc for 3 years. We started ttc before most of my friends and now they have one or two children and we are still without. It does feel like a BFP is a pipe dream and it is definatly a rollercoaster journey. I don't know if its the same with you but somehow giving up is not an option and we just have to keep hoping.

:dust:

I'm totally with you on this, me and my husband have been ttc for around 14 months now although we weren't using precautions two years prior to this. It's a horrible feeling when gradually more and more people you know are getting pregnant, and I can't even begin to describe that feeling when af comes. Thoughts are with you and you're not alone, we'll hopefully get our bfps one day x

Thank u for all the replies ladies. It is nice to know im not alone. I feel like a complete failure. I really hope it happens for us all soon.

Ive had a few tests and seems i dont always o even tho i get positive opks and temp rise. Im now on first round of clomid and cd3. Im pining hope on this cycle. I cant imagine ever getting a bfp but if i get a bfn after this cycle i will be very gutted. Fingers crossed!! Xxxx

I have been trying for two years too, and I am just going through a lot of testing. It feels like a sad lonely journey but thankfully there is wonderful people here. Good luck

I think after 2 years it gets hard xx im 5 and a half years now and im learning to live with it :-( its something i can't control so i don't want to be sad about it but its easier said then done xx im lucky i have a child but i really want more x

I do try to realize that other people have been trying longer than myself. That helps put things in perspective some. Also, for once I'm at peace with it. Though it stinks that we've been trying for almost 2 years and everyone around me gets pregnant at the drop of a dime, I'm truly at peace with it. I'll do what I'm told from my fertility specialist, but that's it. No more trying to be in control because honestly that's not working for me and it's just adding unnecessary stress to my life. Moving forward I'm going to take better care of my body and continue the daily multivitamin, but no more trying the teas and all the extra stuff. I am relaxed and loving it. Last night I BDed with my husband just because and I missed that. Lately we've been going at it like rabbits just because I was "fertile" and that got me no where. So from here I'm going to enjoy married life without a child because I know it changes once we have one. I know our time will come. While we wait patiently I'm going to be positive and hopeful all while being relaxed.

Good luck ladies. One day we'll get our BFPs. Probably when we lease expected.

I'm sorry! I feel the same way though. I have cousins who already have 3 and 4 kids and they are a good 5-6 years YOUNGER than me

Its hard but keep the focus and dont lose the motivation! Just keep the faith!

Hi ladies,

I was shopping today and at the check out there was a father who was shouting and swearing at his 3 children!! He was saying 'You lot are little Sh*ts, you have been f*cking about all day! Little sh*ts you are!'
I was so shocked and he was acting far worse than any of the children seemed to be. He was shouting this really quite loud as well. I felt like saying something but didn't dare incase he started shouting at me. I went out the shop and just cried!
I feel so sorry for those children having to grow up in his company and being spoken to like that! Also, how can it be fair that men like him can have children at the drop of a hat and we have to TTC for months/years?

Sometimes I really think the world isn't a nice enough place to bring children into xxx

God do I know the feeling. In 2012, we will have 3 nieces/nephews born. All of our neighbors have had babies, including the lesbians! I know a girl that has literally got pregnant on her first try every time. She has never seen a negative test, makes me insane with jealousy.

I know what you mean. I live near a council estate with some really shocking displays of parenthood going on there. Once I saw a mum having a massive go at a child in the pushchair, she got so angry that she pushed the pushchair over, the poor kid was face down on the wet pavement. I was so shocked and appalled so upsetting when you see things like that especially when you are TTC, the world doesnt seem right at all xxx
