How do you get over FOB when your LO looks so much like him?

All he can say is 'dad dad dad' and its breaking my heart

I miss him so so much. Its unreal x

I honestly do not know, I know I have my ups and a LOT of downs...everyone says to keep yourself occupied, maybe focus on the good - if he is a good guy, at least you have a child that is part of him. And if he is a jerk, at least you got a beautiful child from the relationship. And if he's both, then both things will get better, they have to!

Your LO is as much like you as FOB.
I've read all your threads.
You know that you and your LO's can do so so much better than him.
Things will get better
When I used to have off days, I used to sit and think about everything he did, the abuse he threw at me and how I am so lucky that he is out of my life.
It can't be easy when your LO is saying dad but try and hold your head high and keep going.
You are incredibly strong after what you have been threw already.

awww hun i know the feeling when i look at my sons they both look like there dad so much and he put me through so much and when i first managed to get rid of him just looking at them would trigger the memories i didnt want to remember,

and now ive had my baby girl, she looks alot like her daddy and its hard because he dumped me only 4 weeks before she was due yet i still love him soo much its soo hard i know, but we have to be strong and keep in mind that we have the best part of our LO's dads, we have our babies and that will never change, even if there dads disserpear

I was doing ok then recently, I dunno why, I just can't get him out my head. He is always out clubbing and probably seeing other people too and I think its maybe that thats hurting too - the fact he is just getting on with things like the past 4 years meant nothing

awww huni it is definately hard to watch them be able to carry on with there lives going out doing whatever they want with whoever they want, its natural to feel upset about it, but with time things will get easier and you will slowly move on when you are ready too, just concerntrate on you and your lil one for now

I am feeling the same way about my DD's dad. Just knowing he has moved on so easily and quickly is making it that little bit harder and seems like the last 8 years meant nothing. And everytime I look at my girl I wonder how I will explain it all to her when she is older, or if she will ever ask.

I don't know much about your history but hope you are feeling a bit better about it all now.

my eldest is the spit of his dad right down to the behaviour and mannerisms. im really struggling with him right now and feel like i am pushing him away coz he just reminds me of all the reasons i left their dad.

i just have to keep reminding myself that he isnt my ex and that yes these behaviours are part of his dna but handled correctly then i can get the lying and the food phobias out of him and make him into a well rounded child.
