Cant upload avatar picture??!!

Hiya, I am having problems uploading a pic to use as an avatar. I have used images in the past and never had a problem, but now it keeps saying there is a security token missing. I have no idea what this even means
Has anyone else experienced this and do you know how to fix it?

That message usually appears if the file your trying to upload is too large, try making it smaller and do it again,
