Hi ladies! Just wanted to share my birth story with you!!
It all started around 1:30 on Feb 3. DH and I dtd and he was rubbing my belly when I started getting contractions. They were 3-5 minutes apart lasting about 30 seconds. I had been getting contractions daily so didn't think much of it and was getting ready for work. I was only 37w5d. Well they were getting progressively stronger. Considering I was attempting a VBAC and I had a 22 month old daughter napping upstairs we decided to call and make arrangements! When I got to the hospital I was 3.5 cm dilated and 90% effaced. I had been 2 cm dilated and 50% only 4 days prior. They said to walk around for 2 hours and they would check me again to see if I'm progressing and to declare me in labor. Well 2 hours went by and I was 5 cm dilated and 100% effaced! At that point I was hooked up to the monitor to be checked carefully because I was attempting a VBAC. I requested the epidural and got it when I was 6 cm dilated. I continued to progress and at 8cm dilated the DR ruptured my membranes and water went everywhere! About an hour later I Was ready to push! My husband held one leg and my mother held the other! After 10 hours of labor and 40 minutes of pushing Emery Pamela entered the world at 2:46 am on February 4. Weighing 6lb15 oz and 18.5 inches long! She is breastfeeding great and already back at her birth weight! Her sister is so in love! Here are some pictures :)
