Car boot bargains!

Have any of you been to any car boot sales or yard sales and had any bargains?

Hubby went to one this morning and came back with a graco travel cot with changer at the top it was and still is £120 in mothercare and he paid £8
the lady also gave him two fluffy sleep suits free
one has the label
still on it and we also got a bath and a support sponge for the bath still in wrapper for £2

we got the mothercare changing table with bath thingy at the top for a fiver

and an oh baby london outfit £20 on website for £1

and a big bag of new disney clothes, next clothes, sleepsuits etc that came to £3

I think we will be looking around a lit in the run up, that will help us afford the mamas and papas nursery!

I got a over the bath baby bath (i was after this style one but there not that easy to find) £1. I have already given it a once over with sterlizing fluid (80p from asda) and it is sitting on my bath!!!

This was a thursday boot sale (can't do sundays cause of church) and there wasn't many childrens thing so this was a brilliant unexpected find ... it was the only baby thing on the stall!!

Love boot sales amongst the tat you can find the most amazing stuff!

I posted this on the Jan baby forum before seeing this thread! We also got a baby rocker too (looks brand new, only used a couple of times) for within the £40 budget:

Just wanted to say about stuff you bought...we've got most stuff being given to us by friends etc like the cot and bits but me and OH went to three car boot sales this weekend and OMG we spent £40 in total (maybe buys 3/4 outfits in mothercare) and we must have well over 100 outfits!

There were so many bargins, so many brand new or hardly used, brilliant brands like mothercare, john lewis and disney... now we have all the staples like vests, baby grows (and some cute little dresses) spanning from newborn to 12 months!

The good thing about car boots is you can see where the stuff is coming from and some of the ladies were so lovely and willing to do deals if you bought in bulk! We're currently washing all the stuff and it all looks brand new! I totally recommend car boots! Especially if you think how long the babies are actually in them!

I got a practically brand new moses basket in a charity shop for £8. We will get a new mattress for it but seeing as we only wanted it for downstairs (she will have a swinging crib in our room) i thought it was a great bargain.

ohh yeah we got a gorgeous almost brand new white wooden cot with full bumper and bedding set for £50 - the cot alone is worth £80 !

Oh i love a bargain, looks like your OH did really well at the carboot! Last week when i went i got a bundle of mamma and pappas and next baby clothes for £12 brand new and a moses basket & stand for £4

I got a fisher price rainforest swing for £19 from eBay, Its £69 in argos. x

I love boot sales but i will have to wait til i am further into my pregnancy as we are not out of the woods yet I see so many bargains and some wonderful things for a fraction of the cost. I can't wait to go baby buying
