care sheffield

I've got an appt with them next Monday to discuss egg sharing. My friend used them for IVF and said they were very good.
:hugs:

I used them for IVF eggsharing but Care Manchester, couldnt fault them brilliant!! Right choice hun using Care.x

I'm going with Care Northampton .... got our appointment with the consultant on 14th Jan

I was with care sheffield in oct not sucessful but we r going again in March dr shaker is really lovely and has been great, even phoned at christmas to see how i was doing!!

we were going for ivf/icsi but unfortunately I didn't stimulate well and only got 2 follicles so was downgraded to iui but hopefully March will see lots more follicles and we will actually get to egg collection x

Hi - I was about to post a similar thread when I just saw yours! We are thinking of going to either Care Sheffield or Manchester (apparently at M'cr they have just started trialling IMSI, which is a kind of super ICSI where they look at the sperm in more detail before injecting). But Sheffield is cheaper than M'cr, which is weird as they're both Care clinics.
I'd also love to hear people's experiences.

ok hun well ive got informal visit on weds at 3.30pm to go through everything and they are sending me forms out to be filled out before they can book me a appointment with consultant and have testing etc

Not heard there using that new treatment might have a read.. I think Manchester might be more expensive as its Care where as Sheffield i think is a satalite clinic i may be wrong?? But meaning other patients can use the clinic who arent with care who need to be scanned etc i think..

But your right its still Care. So either one is going to just be as good, what are success rates like at both, maybe it worth taking them into account when choosing. Plus I think if your eggsharing Manchester is prob best as its a bigger clinic
x

I don't think either are satellite clinics. Both take NHS patients - we won't be NHS has we've had our one free go :-(
From memory, I think Sheffield was slightly better, but I don't think there was much in it. We're booked onto open evenings at both in Feb, so will see, but I'm really thinking M'cr is the way forward as they're doing IMSI. I emailed them about it and they haven't even worked out how much it will cost yet, so hopefully won't be too much more.

No hun when i say satellite I am sure Care Sheffield runs tests for other patients from other clinics (incase other clinics dont run the tests care do they can do them for you there or incase you travelling etc and need testing they will do it for you) I am sure Sheffield is this kind of clinic.. but it is still a Care clinic so there both the same both Care clinics. I would go which is easier to get too both have great success rates

I was at Manchester and yeah both take NHS patients but I didnt get my NHS go our PCT arent funding hence why we went private.
Why are you based?? Which is nearer?? Personally with the appointments etc i would go with the one nearer both clinics are excellent from what i heard but i only know Manchester due to me going.
x

Im with Care Nottingham at the moment, staff are very professional and really nice x would have thought it would be the same there. Due to go back this month sometime for round 2# xx
