What a crazy birth i had! The pregnancy was great the labor was great...but i hemmoraged 3 hours after birth. It was so scary! I had to be induced at 41 weeks 2 days... Cassidy Hope was born August 7th at 2:29pm weighing 8.6lbs and 21 inches. check in 5pm ...6pm-cytotec given to ripen cervix since i was only 1cm dilated. 10pm-cytotec given again. 12am-iv fliuds and no more cytotec because contractions were coming way to fast although they werent painful. Then i was given ambien to help me sleep through the night, even though i only slept 30 mins. 7am i was checked and was only 1 1/2 cm. 9:00am the doctor checked me again and broke water at 2cm 80% effaced..and thats when contractions started coming fast and started hurting for the first time REALLY bad. 9:20am pitocin was started even tho contractions were coming way to fast already. I could hardly stand the pain @10:15am I was 3cm then they checked again @ 11:00am because i felt intense pressure in my bottom like i had to poop..and i was 100%effaced 3 cm. 11:30am i got the epidural and at 12:34pm I was 9.5 cm and they told me i could push when i wanted, but i waited to let her desend down the birth canal since i didnt feel any pain. With the epi i was shaking a ton...1:45pm I started pushing and with 5 sets of pushes she was out..fist push you could already see her head, and I used a mirror, which i recommend for everyone, it really helped me know where i was pushing and the progress i was making made me more determined to get her out! @2:29pm my baby girl was born screaming, i got to pull her out! the cord was loosly wrapped around her neck once, but it didnt phase her at all.. she nursed for the next 45 mins on both sides! About 3 hours after i started hemmoraging and lost almost the amount of blood as a csection and was given more pitocin a shot in my leg to make me contract more, the doctors and nurses were slamming on my stomach trying to get all the clots out and make my uterus go down, it was the most intense painful scary thing i have ever been through... the only thing that kept me calm although i was bawling hysterically was knowing that if i had to have a hysterectomy i atleast have my little miracle daughter here and am a mommy. I was also given more iv fluids and was caterized to keep my bladder empty..boy did that hurt since i wasnt numb anymore and they had to spread apart my tears. I had 2 tears...Peri-urithral. Anyways she is here now and soo beautiful, we just love her so much! If you have any questions feel free to ask!
