I know this is totally normal, and it varies depending on cycles etc, but I'm so impatient!! Clear Blue told me to start testing on cd6, and the First Response website said my best time would be 4-8 November so I was hoping for something!!!!

well those companies and calculators are always telling people to test 3-4 days earlier than the actual date anyway.

As long as you have a faint line, you're almost there
Faint line is better than no line!

But all I've had so far are blank circles, which is not what I want to see! I think I'll just have to be more patient.....

yeah i know. I'm using the smiley face too. Love that darn thing!
When you eject the strip, you can see the 2 blue lines on it

I just wish I could turn off the thing manually, instead of have to wait for 8 mins for it to turn off automatically.
it hurts when i see the blank circle LOL

I am on cd16 and still haven't got a smiley face yet and didn't get one at all last month. I am well pleased these are the free ones from the cb trial cos I think the ic's work better for me. Plus I can poas several times a day and not feel I have wasted a small fortune!

I bought the 20 pack on Amazon. Got a good deal on it, just about $1.10 per strip.
Since the deal is over, next time I'm going to buy on eBay, much cheaper there too.

yah beside the CB one, I also use New Choice, $1 OPK I bought from Dollar store for back up. Hahah

Good luck, Katie! I'm CD14 and still haven't gotten a smiley face. I read about the SMEP where you BD every other night anyway, so that's what we're going to do. I'm worried I may miss my smiley face because I've heard the LH surges are pretty short-lived. I've also heard that sometimes, by the time the LH makes it to your urine, the actual surge has already been and gone So... we're just going to go every other night and use the Preseed!

This is the first month i have used the clearblue digi, i normally use the internet cheapies and im sure i didn't get my positive with them til about cd 16/17 the last 2 months so im expecting to get no smiley faces until then. Im trying the digi cos im sick of squinting at lines lol Anyone doing the sperm meets egg plan? x

I have a typical 28 day cycle (average- some months longer or shorter by a couple days)- and I don't get a Pos OPK till at least CD12-14... so CD10 is still a bit early. You'll get it soon though hun!!! This is the time of the month I LOVE- lol. Cause A) I'm excited to get to my Ov day... instead of nervous waiting to test.. and B) I get a POSITIVE! lol. Least something is getting a + around here... haha.

I took another OPK smiley face last night. I still only got a circle, but then I compared the faint line with the one from 2 days ago, I see a little progress! Almost there (I hope LOL)!

Definitely gonna try the SMEP plan next cycle (have missed it this cycle) - just need to get OH on board.....

Bunnylicious - thats a really good tip to keep the sticks (and I can def see the line getting stronger!). I've been using my FMU though - is this not the best time?

I think FMU is not a good time, because ur body is not fully awake yet.
It works for HPT, but not OPK

Urine after 11 am is more reliable.

That's what I thought Geordiemoo..... This is very confusing!

I would like to be able to do one in the morning and one in the afternoon, but I don't think funds will stretch that far!! I'm just so worried I'll miss my smiley face x
