CD5 - when should I OPK?

I am on CD 5. When should I start using my OPK's and how do they work? xxx

I started testing about CD8 as I ov'd early - it's usually a count back of 14 days (ish ) from the full length of your cycle.

So, 28 day cycle - start on CD 14.
