why would my cervix feel puffy? like i can feel a pinhole and then i can feel a hump on both sides of the hole...it just feels puffy. is this normal? anyone else keep track of their cervix?

didnt want to r&r, i dont know much about this i'm afraid, but i thought you werent meant to keep touching the cervix in pregnancy, it can cause irritation and infection. not sure if anyone else can help. if you are very concerned, maybe go and see your doctor xxx

In pregnancy your cervix will change in just about every way, could be hard, soft, high, low, puffy, a bit open, tightly closed. I asked the midwife and she said there is little point in checking during pregnancy as near enough every way is 'normal' and you dont want to irritate it or risk infection.

It is also really engorged with all that extra blood down there too so would be pretty swollen/puffy, i don't start tracking cervical posistion till about 35-36 weeks

i checked it because when i got home from my ultrasound, it kinda worried me because her head was laying pretty much on my cervix and i just wanted to keep an eye on it.
and it felt really odd to me.

i didnt know if that was a normal position for a baby at this stage. she was head down. right at the cervix.?!?

I was told its not a good idea to check your cervix at all during pregnancy due to high risk of infection and also that the cervix will make drastic changes during it also so there's no telling what's normal because it all is.
