So, I was admitted into hospital 2 days ago and discharged yday, due to thick mucous I was getting and having dark brown streaks. I have had random tightenings, this has been very very irregular, probably 4 times through my whole pregnancy, 3 of them being around 19-20 weeks. They did an internal scan and saw my cervix measured 27mm, and I was told was "slightly short". I then saw a consultant who said he's putting my risk of pre-term labour as "low" however everything I read states otherwise!! He's seeing me again in 10 days time and I have to have another internal scan to check its not shortened any more. I am so scared its unreal and have been crying quite alot, which I know is not good for my lil one. My consultant is going away in 3 weeks and said he definitely wants to see me before he goes away.. which scares me even more. All I can think of is I'm going to have this baby way too soon... I have no experience with this and I'm just petrified.. can anyone shed any light on what this actually means?!
