cervix position?

I had a positive opk test yesterday around 3pm. We BD last night. This morning my cervix is low and firm (can't tell if it's open or closed). But I thought that after you get the + then you have 12-48 hours before you ovulate? So even if I was at the end of the lh surge I should be ovulating soon which means it should be high open and soft.. Right? So does your cervix change positions from morning to night. BTW it was very soft and open last night.. so I'm confused.

Your cervix definitely can and will change position throughout the day. The advice with checking cervix position I believe is the same as taking your temp. Same time every day.
