Hi girls, can't believe my beautiful boy is here! So I was petrified this time round afta a long labour with my ds1 and a pph, it was terrified !
He was born 4/3/14 at 4.27am 9lb 1oz x
Quite long ..
I went into hopsital about 9.30am monday morning . I was examined and she said she could have easily broke my waters there and then but due to my cervix still being quite long she would give me the tablet, so she did at 11amish.. She told me she would check me in 6 hours. B4 if anything happened .. So I waited .. Nothing til about 3pm.. I started contracting .. They were strong bt barable , when she examined me at 5pm I was 2cms , she said she wasn't giving me the 2nd tablet as I was contracting nicely , instead I was put on the list for delievery was told there was 1 woman in front of me , but if I needed it 1st I'd go ..
Well I can't really remember excat times from now but ill guess lol..
I was contracting regulary, walking & bouncing on the ball helped , I defo wanted to try and stay active, we'll I go took up to delievery around 9pmish.. They broke my waters at 10pm.. I was only stil 2cms.
There things got going I was contracting nicely and I was using gas & air altho was stuck to a bed , due to my pph, reduced fetal movements in pregnancy and a few other reasons.. I think if I was able to move I wouldn't of needed the epidural. Anyway I started to get the feeling I wanted to push but I didn't tell them as I wanted my epidural.. I was really afraid that's why..
About 12.30am I had the epidural. . Labour was fine after that so glad I had it .. I didn't want to as had it with son and regretted it this time was amazing , I managed to nap.. When she checked me at 2am I was fully dialted but had to wait an hour b4 pushing due to him being back2back . So we waited and I started pushing at 3.45 so slightly over an hour I waited ..
I only pushed for 45 mins , didn't hurt but I could feel the need to push, I didn't shout, scream or cry like I did with my 1st.. Was a totally different experience.. He popped out at 4.27am and was 9lb 1oz ! Perfect and gorgeous! My oh only just made it there. He was at home with our son until I new I was ready 2 have him!
I didn't need to be cut this time, I didn't tear, just a little graze! So not a bad induction at all, a much better quciker labour !!
Safe to say I'm totally in love !
