Chances of getting boy gender scan wrong?

I am so anxious.. I was told boy at my gender scan and even saw his penis and everything but I am still so scared incase 20 week scan say girl xx

Personally, I would never get my hopes up based on a scan. I have heard too many stories of people being devastated when they find out what they were told was wrong.

I think the other way around is when they can get it wrong! If you seen a Willie wonka then there must be one there xxxx

I definitely saw a willy wonka.. it was long and had balls as opposed to a small little nebbish looking thing xx

Yeah you can be pretty certain it's a boy if you see the boy bits! It's generally the other way around that they get wrong. That's why I'm getting double checked this week!

My husband and I felt the same way for throughout my entire 2nd trimester. We were told at 18 weeks that it was a boy. Had another scan at 27 weeks and they confirmed boy again and then at our 4D ultrasound at 32 weeks, it was definitely still a boy! We kept worrying that all the previous ultrasounds were wrong, but this last one put all of our worries to rest! We saw all his goods.

Yeah I think you can be pretty certain it's a boy. They told me at my 13 week scan last time I was having a boy, then confirmed at 16 and 20 weeks. Definitely was a boy

Gahhh its so frustrating isn’t it.. to be honest when I walked out of the scan place I knew it was a boy because of what I saw but now it’s a week on I wish I got a picture just to keep my mind at ease xx

I was told on Saturday I was having a girl, I was in that much shock I started googling potty shots of scans to double check what we saw was definitely a girl lol can't wait for my 20 week scan to confirm now x

Yeah that’s exactly what I keep doing .. ive had two girls and have never had a scan where my girls have had penises sticking out so I think I am safe =) Roll on 17th July so I can double confirm =P if it’s a girl it’s a shame because out of excitement ive already bought blue stuff xx

been a complete asshole and rebooked another gender scan with Babybond in Heathrow =) Its only one of the £39 10 minute appointments but I just want them to re-confirm its a boy =) xx

My brothers friend was told she was having a boy, bought everything blue and gave birth to a girl so it can happen, but its never happened to me, iv had 3 children already and found out the gender with all three and they got it right everytime, luckily you have a 20 week scan aswell to confirm for sure, with my 3rd i had a 16 week scan and was told girl i never beleived them (had two boys previously) i was too scared to buy pink, even though i had photos of her potty shot and i could see full well she was a girl, even when they told me girl at 20 weeks i didnt fully beleive it, first thing i checked when she was born was that she was infact a girl lol!!

I had a friend who was told she was having a girl she brought pink everythinv and was so excited when she gave birth the said " you have a boy " she was like no its a girl and they was like noo its definately a boy lol

My cousin was told her twins was both boys but nope one was a girl but with twins i guess its a little harder to tell

Its common for mistakes to be made especially if they say girl and you end up with a boy x

I was told she was 98%/99% sure it was a girl so I have brought pink stuff and tbh I kept thinking she was a girl before the 20 weeks scan and she checked a few times just to make sure but I still have that tiny little doubt every time I buy something pink haha

Our sonographer had no hesitation she was a girl and even told me off for saying he and tbh since the get go I have thought girl but now I have purchased something pink I am having niggles irrational I know!
