Cheap Furniture

When baby is born im staying at home with my mum, as me and FOB split up. So baby is going to be staying in my room for now, what kind of furniture have you all gone for and do you know were you can get cheap furniture from - cots/ wardrobes/ chest of drawers etc for the baby Thanks x

U thought about gettin second hand stuff? thats what iv done, except the bits n pieces people have bought me. Baby is also sharing my room so iv just got a swing cradle for now and a moses basket, both second hand but in really good condition, i just needed 2 buy new mattress's.
I also got a changing mat and nappy box for £10 off of a website www.gumtree.com
Also u should look for things in the paper and scotads x

Ikea is good as is gumtree! I got some fab baby furniture off ebay for £30. xx

I know its not cheap but . Mothercare have brilliant stuff and only best for baby

Im doing the mothercare baby plan which involves ordering everything you want and paying off the receipt before delivery. I ordered mine at 20 weeks and to be delivered beginning of august , ive only paid about 30 off it but it doesnt matter aslong as its paid for by august XD

Also i got some gorgeous cabinets and shelfs in baby blue from studio 24 They were half price too

Ikea do really good & cheap wardrobes etc.
Ebay I haven't looked at furniture on but I have bought alot of baby clothes on and some bottles, and they are really good.
Also, try looking in charity shops, you will be amazed what kind of stuff you can get in there, and at really low prices.

Definately ikea, although the beds we got there are slightly different to standard uk sizes so I'm wondering if the cots and stuff will be too? Does anyone know?

Yes I've been told the cots are a slightly diffrent size so you would have to buy the mattress from ikea too.

I got an awesome second hand chest of drawers for all her things to go in, it cost about £20 and i can change her on it too i got a swinging crib from babies R us, i think that cost about £60 all together including mattress and bedding x x x x

ikea is really good value, but their matress and cot sizes ARE slightly different, cause i went there to see if they had a matress for my cot
