So a few weeks back i read a post by someone about cheap baby scans, in scotland, they mentioned it wasnt the best quailty picture you got or that but it was reassurance all the same  I cant remember the name of the website, anyone have any ideas?

I remember something like that too, but I cant remember.

Healthcarenow in Fife and Edinburgh do a early reassurance scan for £65. Thats the cheapest I seen. But I could have sworn there was something on here!

There was and i visited the site and it was good prices, but i deleted history and cant remember name :haha:

ooo Tanx for the info Mummy2Angel & Sb22...
I had a rite scare last nite(and hoping its just a scare) , i had horrible severe cramps, woke me up and was bent over. I have my 1st app with mw on tuesday, and i kinda doubt they can really tell me if my baby of ok without a scan. Id like to be able to convince dh that id really like an earlier private scan for reassurance. Its dam nerve wrecking...

When have u guys been booked for you nhs scans? :hugs:

edit: Those are really good prices at SOJ's. Brilliant!!!

I had a early scan on NHS on thursday at 7 weeks and was told if i get worried about anything then just to phone and theyll book me in again, but i think thats only because ive had a loss. You'll probably get your NHS scan date at your booking in appointment x

Yeah the prices are great! but have no idea how i would get there as i dont drive so we're just going with 'babyscanning' in glasgow near queen street, x

Neateye I have mine for 13 weeks, and i had a reasurrance one at 8 weeks due to previous miscarriages. I can hear babies heartbeat now on a doppler, im reassured, so i wont be booking any private scans until i decide when to book a 4D :)

Have a look at baby scan studio in perth, their prices are excellent and the man is really lovely.

After I spoke with my midwife, she organised a scan with NHS at EPU for reassurance. I did have a m/c previously so think that was why it was organised so soon.

Basically I had my first mw appointment on Wed and the EPU called and said they could fit me in on Thursday. Unfortunately I had teaching commitments but I have scan arranged for tomorrow.

I had planned to pay for a private scan but managed to get one on the NHS.

Might be worth a shot as the nurse at EPU told me they have a 20 min slot everyday put aside for reassurance scans. I'm in west of scotland and you may be able to call your neareast EPU and ask about this yourself. It was save you a bit of money xxx
