hey all for my mum's birthday her present didn't come through in time so i had to make my own that day :D anyways i managed to get 20 sheets of tissue paper for £1 in pound world and some little soaps, bath salt etc,

anyways i got a plastic trifle tub i had from when i got my asda meal deal i filled and covered it with tissue paper and put 2x bed socks (thick with stick bottoms for £1 poundworld), nivea cream £1, bathbombs £1 ebay. some other little things and wrapped it all with cellowrap £1 per meter from florists

all in all i think i spent less than £5 and my mum loved it, she's off of chocolate atm anyways because of this i am not thinking maybe i might use plastic holders like triffle tubs or such which i would have anyways???

what does everyone think of this? my mum seemed to like it???

thinking about making pamper hampers because everyone seems to be on a diet this year....

what should i put in them and how can i keep them all under £5???

happy to self make as much as possible!

hey all i was in poundland the other day and seen silcon chocolate moulds, i was thinking wow thats a great idea and was thinking about buying loads of milk, dark and white chocolate from asda and making mixtures of them in it like alittle of white then little of dark then white or something you know like those shells you buy....

anyways was wondering if anyone knew how i could make them and they would look great and how to store them till christmas???

anyone got any other ideas like this??

Cheaper alternatives to Wicker Hampers......Things I have seen 'hampers packed in while doing craft fairs have included.

Ice Cream tubs covered in paper/plastic
Cellophane bags with ribbon (no need for a tub)
Paper plates/bowls decorated with glitter/paper

If you wanted something bigger you could try Wilko's or similar for plastic baskets which can come in all sorts of shapes and sizes as well as colours.

BTW I would recommend Wilko's if you are looking for cheap fillers too!

thanks i don't think there are any wilko's in scotland :( but pound streacher might be good there... tbh i think i am just gonna buy a selection of tubs from poundworld/land and line them with paper or glitter :D

There is a Wilkinsons not long opened at the Almondvale in Livingston, where the old Woolies used to be.
