So I had a 20 week scan today. My mom and sister were in from out-of-state to visit, so they came with me. The U/S tech was super cool and let us look at him in 3D! I was sooo happy! I think he is really cute! I always wanted a 3d scan, but really couldn't spend the money on one.... so I'm so thrilled she did this for us!!

AND - my previa has corrected itself - so thats GREAT news too!

You don't sound dumb. If I didn't have it, I probably wouldn't have known...
Its when the placenta is covering the cervix. It can be really serious, or it can be no problem and end up correcting itself. While you have it, you are at risk for bleeding, are not supposed to have sex, and need to be careful about over-exerting yourself... Mine moved up higher - so its no longer over my cervix, and is not an issue anymore.
